She fell out of the side of her bin and now isn't moving. Both eyes closed, no strength. I called all the local vets an they said to take her to Anchorage, which I both can't afford and don't have a car that could survive the trip. She essentially has a death sentence and I'm so angry and sad...
The eggs were at the very bottom of the bin, fully covered.
She started digging again this morning. I'm going to let her do her thing.
I was going to try and find a vet to take her today but she seems to be at it again. She has been closing one of her eyes but I can see a little sand stuck in...
She's not eating yet but she's drinking. Doesn't seem to be interested in the laying bin.
I checked all the way to the bottom and there were only the five eggs. I think she might have gotten spooked when she was laying and stopped. I don't know if there are nay vets around here that do...
My Veiled chameleon was showing all the signs of being ready to lay so I set up a laying been for her. After about three or four days off digging she decided to lay and stayed the night in her hole.
When I came home from work she was at the top of her cage and a little skinnier, with the hole...
I don't have one set up yet because I'm not sure where to get soil without fertilizers and stuff. The local Walmart and Home depot don't seem to have it.
Yeah I have but she has been spending more time walking around the bottom of her habitat while dark than before, which I heard was a sign. Also she's pretty thick.
My female Veiled, Xenu, is looking pretty plump these days. She has been wandering down to the bottom of her habitat pretty regularly lately as well. I'm not sure how old she is but I got her in march
Does she look gravid or just a bit of a fatty?
Today I noticed my female veiled rubbing her face on the side screen of her enclosure like she's trying to get out. She'll do a loop around her cage and come back to that spot, rubbing her face for a moment then looping around again.
I'm not sure why but it seems like she's trying to get out...
The repashy calcium plus has vitamin D suppliment in the ingredients, but it doesn't say D3, which I would assume it would specify because of its importance.
I've had my female veiled chameleon for about 3 weeks now and had been coating her crickets with reptivite with D3 daily until I heard it should only be used once every two weeks or so.
I picked up some Rep cal herptivite multivitamins and Repashy calcium plus as well.
Will this be enough...
Going to the pet store today for this.
Would you recommend any other feeders or gutload? I've been giving the crickets potato and carrot with their normal food.
Haven't tried any other feeders but I think they have some other types of worms and roaches.
