Most people just use a normal bulb. As long as it’s not a colored bulb and it’s getting the temps you need without risk of burning your cham, it should be fine.
Handling - I would keep to a minimum or not at all at this point until he becomes more acclimated or comfortable with you.
Feeding - Superworms should be given as a treat and not as a staple feeder. Crickets, while they can be given as a staple feeder, are not the most nutritious of feeder...

I can never tell with mine. Too many hiding spots, and once lights go out and it gets dark, there’s no finding him. But it may not be abnormal. If you are able to notice your chameleon moving, then I would assume it’s not dark in the area it’s sleeping and that could be causing it. Otherwise it...
Yeah, Earth Pro-A at every feeding with the LoD twice a month is what Bill has on the Panther caresheet. Not sure about the others. I’d be interested to know @Chamlover89 experience ends up being with ordering from that site and what you and @Beman both paid with taxes and shipping as a comparison.
Where are you both getting your Earth Pro-A? Lightyourreptiles is the only place I’ve seen state-side. I’m currently using Repashy LoD at every feeding but thinking of transitioning to using less supplemental Vitamin D in the future.
I apologize as well. I was going to PM you today to just offer my apologies. Last night, I honestly decided to just drop off the forums altogether unless I needed help myself as my intent is not to push anyone away from this group filled with knowledgeable, veteran chameleon keepers, especially...
I just poked some holes in mine and zip tied through the pot and around the ledge or support branches. Bill has lots of helpful pictures on his websites.
Again, I meant no offense. I’ve followed your other posts and sympathize that you are a young college student and do not currently have a job providing you extra income. I hope for the best for both you and your chameleon, but it will take others with much more knowledge than myself to help you...
@littlekiwi I don’t mean this to be negative, but I do not think you have the resources or means to properly care for a chameleon right now...particularly one who now has advancing MBD. I suggest speaking to your vet and looking out for rescue groups to see if there is someone who is willing to...
She was on a recent Chameleon Academy Podcast and had a lot of information on how she recouperated her and adjusted her setup to properly care for her MDB cham.

Looks good as far as branches and coverage but hard to tell what’s going on in the bottom from the picture. Your UVB appears to be inadequate. Do you have a cham yet or just preparing?
Can you out fill this section of the how to ask for help form?
