@etclement I did also find this: "According to the growth rate hypothesis, P-rich insects have higher growth rates."
Is it possible, that commercial feeders are high on phosphorus, because of it? What is the best option then? :(
@kinyonga Hi kinyonga! How should it be corrected? In the end the vet just told me, that if it's not get better in a week, I should come and he's gonna give some phosphorus reducing medicine to my cham.
Thank you very much for the response and ideas. I will definitely try to feed better variety of feeders and will change the gutloading. Here I have a question. Is it okey to gutload for example the collard greens from the store? Could there be any problem with any bad substances from the grow? I...
Thank you for the response. I agree and the automatic misting system is already on the way. But is it gonna help him learn to drink from leaves? From the glass he was drinking normally in front of me. And the thing which scares me the most - how should I feed him now, when his tongue is weak...
Oh I'm sorry @CasparChameleon and @Angelwolf . The photo of the enclosure is not the latest. There is a large hibiscus and also some more branches. I edited the original post - there is a new photo now.
Hi Chameleon Forums!
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled male - about 10 month old - in my care for about 9 months
Handling - not much, maybe once a week and it's just because I want him to have some direct sunlight
Feeding - 2 grasshoppers per day (6 times per week) - gutloaded mostly...
UPDATE: I don't think he's hungry, because I fed him two small grasshoppers and he's still roaming around and scratching at the doors.
Also I noticed that he roams in the regular interval. He's basking to get the right temperature and then he's like crazy, after some time he's back at the top...
Hi everyone, my veiled male (Glenn) suddenly started to roam extremely. Bottom to upper parts, left to right. Scratching on glass walls, etc.. :notworthy: I'm a bit worried and because I don't wanna loose him, I decided to post here in this great community! ;)
My ideas:
1, the cage is too...
I'm glad to hear this!
I agree with it. For a adult veiled it would be very heavy. I hope the vitamins I have now are gonna be fine for him :) UVB is 3 months old and it's sitting on the screen top of the terarium, that should be fine :)
Ah, okey then :) I tried to find some photos from...
Hi guys, I'm here with update!
I was able to take new pictures at the vet's. I was told he's gonna be okey :) He probably just needs calcium. The vet did not wanna to stress him by taking his blood or any advanced diagnosing methods. I'm gonna give him calcium with every feeding and calcium...
@ZacharyLeesWife Thank you! That's very valuable information for me. Can you please just send me any link, where could I find this material? I was not able to find such a thing :(
@Replife Thanks for additional info! :)
@Angelwolf Thanks for the link and additional advices! That's exactly what...
Thank you all so much! :) I'm happy to hear, he's gonna be okey!
@Angelwolf Thanks for the help. I've checked your album and your cham and enclosure look great :)
@Replife and @ZacharyLeesWife Thank you both guys for more information and suggestions! I'm gonna see the vet tomorrow and I will...
You've just secure my ideas. I definitely wanna bigger all screen cage.
And about the casque.. I am really desperate about it. I'm gonna see a vet on Friday, because I wanna be sure. I'm just scared about getting him out of his home. He's kinda stubborn lately :(
Thanks for reply Peachypink, can you please suggest the best supplements in your opinion, which are accessible worldwide?
I can't get better photo now, but his legs seem to be ok just by look.
Hi Theveiled, thanks for responding!
The reptimineral C, which I'm using, (https://www.sera.de/us/product/sera-reptimineral-c/) includes some calcium. But now I’ve started to use also Biomin H daily, which is calcium without D3.
Hi everyone, I am new here, but I tried to write as many info as I can :)
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, male, a bit over 3 months old, about 2 months in my care
