I took Mr. Freeze out today just for about 5 minutes and I don't take him out often but I noticed he was kinda breathing heavy. It was not non stop but more of when he was reaching for my other hand or pulling himself up onto my other hand. He eats/drinks great and I have a schedule for all of...
Looks like Skittles dropped it by himself today. He is a little over a year old but I had never seen that from either of my chams. I'll attach a pic just to make sure it's nothing bad.
I just noticed it today. How long does it usually take to pass? I think I'm gonna give him a shower tomorrow cause he hasn't had one in a while anyways.
Crickets as a staple and throw in some silk worms and horn worms everyone once in a while. (Fed horn worms yesterday) sorry for asking so much but I'm sure you know how it is when you get worried. Thanks for the responce.
Has she layed eggs before? If she hasn't then shes probably gravid. I dont have any experience with female chams so I'm sure other people could help more than me.
From my understanding veileds bite the most often and panthers bite the least often but it does depend on the animal and how it was raised. I could be wrong about the veiled vs panther thing but that is what I have heard. I've never been bit and i have 2 panthers, one of them i got and a baby...
Skittles always did full body sheds when he was younger but most chameleons as they get bigger take longer to shed. Just last week Skittles shed on his back left foot only and hasn't shed anything else since, his skin looks fine though. A lot of times they will shed in different stages almost.
I think they climb on the sides because its the most direct route sometimes. One of my chameleons has little to no nails and i have had good luck by putting branches on the sides with zip ties.
Some people put their chams in a small dark box while moving but if its such a short distance some people even just bring the whole cage with chameleon into the car and secure it. When I picked up my panther it was about a 30 min. drive and i just laid the cage down in the back seat and it was fine,
I snapped this pic of Mr. Freeze just now. I wanted to get a good pic of Skittles too but he was tucked away towards the back of his cage getting ready to sleep. Anyways here is Mr. Freeze lookin funny! Happy national lizard day!
