My 1 year old panther Skittles has not been basking as much this past week. The basking temps are usually around 86-90°F, and I'm not 100% sure on the ambient temps right now but i can check tomorrow during the day. Skittles is in a 2x2x4 reptibreeze cage so he has plenty of room but he has...
I wouldn't hand feed everyday if he seems to be getting stressed, I cup/hand feed one of my panthers only because that is what the previous owner did and he is not very good at hunting. My other panther hunts for his food and used to let me hand feed anytime but he actually now ignores the food...
in my reptibreeze we drilled holes in the bottom center and then underneath attached a funnel with silicone that leads to a bucket. I have my cages on plastic shelving so i just cut away the plastic so the funnel can fit through.
give her an extra long misting session or even better a shower. If that does not help then you will probably have to go to a vet. Do you have any pics?
I have never lost more than about 5 at once and I usually find them within a day or two. The most common spot I have found them is underneath my bubbler for my turtle tank.
night time temps should be about a 10 degree drop from day time temps, i know that for panthers the lowest it should be is 55 degrees Fahrenheit but im not sure about other species.
I would set up a dripper if you have one, about 10 minuets after i feed my chameleons i put on their drippers so they can wash down their food. I think your cham should be fine though I'd just keep an eye on him.
If he sees himself he will most likely puff out his beard and "fire up". I have a mirror across from my 2 panthers cages that is on my closet door and i just keep my door open so there is no chance of them seeing each other or themselves.
I'm glad you found him. The other day I had Skittles outside and we were taking some pictures of him, my dad wanted me to let him walk in the grass but I was too scared to. Even though I would be watching him I didnt want to take any chances.
