If you have an automatic mister turn it on for longer. If you mist by hand try and mist a little longer and a little more directly on your Cham. When I notice my boy is shedding I always try and make it more humid so it's easier for him, he usually gets done shedding in less then a 12 hour period.
Simple solution just use normal drinking water. Bottled water, or as mentioned above a big 1 gallon jug of spring water is only about 99 cents. You can find some cheaper then that I'm sure.

Please don't get a chameleon.... Your getting yourself way in over your head... These are not corn snakes or leopard geckos where you set them up and forget about them. These extremely docile creatures are very very sensitive. Definitely not a child pet.
While hiking in the foothills near my home I found a legless lizard. I'm not sure of what decent it was from. But it was definitely unique and very intriguing.
