That is very intriguing.. I found a praying mantis acting very weird and all of a sudden a worm broke through the stomach of the mantis and crawled out to find a new host, I assume... It was like watching something from a alien vs predator movie....
I'm sure for awhile it would be fine, but why risk it.
With the hundreds of dollars we spend on these creatures we might as well take the time to make everything as perfect as possible.
Your soil looks very wet. I would try and add some soil, or water less frequently.
I would repot, and use large river rocks to cover the top layer of soil.
The reason you don't want the plant to be swampy is because it will be easier for your Cham to get an RI (Resperitory Infection).
