I agree with @leedragon that lighting could be an issue the uvb that comes with the zoo med tank has been said to irritate their eyes (although it has also been said to be corrected) . i think a linear tube would be better. could also be dehydration, their eyes will get sunken in if dehydrated...

younger chams shed more than mature ones do, which I'd guess has something to do with the fact that they're growing. but mature chameleons that aren't growing will still shed too. it's not necessarily like with shell fish that outgrow their shell, and have to shed it to allow them to grow.

no, he was hiding in the back corner as far away from the light as he could, behind some leaves. I pulled the light a little higher, and went back to having the uvb bulb next to the basking light, and hes been back to his normal self .... think it might have just been too much all at once.
