No you are right on about that he is lucky in the sense there is no MBD. Like you said he was starved and denied proper water.

I’ve had chameleons for nearly 10 years.

Yeah I know his chances of survival are slim but he has regained some energy from the fluids my vet has been giving him. So I am hopeful.
