If you did a bioactive enclosure, after time you might have a diet self contained and maintained....but, you want to start and troubleshoot that far before consideration of a Cham also to check for issues. Praying mantis, leaf bugs, wax worms, etc....but, gut loading would be important, to...
Same, my Jackson perches himself right on top of my head often as well. He will sit right on my messy clipped hair and climbed straight up my face to get up there last night.....nose/lip isn't where I want the little prehensile feet's!!!!
I second this--i set up a habitat and everything, then picked up 100....guess who gives me the stink eye still when they go in his cage?! (And are dug out 3 hrs later) Lol....he's still quite small tho, rather doted upon, as well as going thru his teen phases, so he's less fluff and more grump...
Also, my lil Gus is extremely social as well. He prefers to be out of his cage and lunges to be on you thru the day as well, tho when he's presented with a chance to be outside, he will nearly jump to sit on his outside plants lol. I don't have hair cage planted as heavily as others do, but...
We have a likely similiarly aged male Jackson, so I'll share the few tidbits I keyed on that others have mentioned.by now I'm sure :)
He needs to have a multi vitamin and calcium with D3 mixed into your license every other week, so maybe the first and third Mon of each month use the d3...
Mine hangs over the edges, I just keep it centered. Gus just moves himself from basking to uvb and back as he is roaming the days stuck inside at least :)

He fell asleep gripping my toddler's fingers and didn't stir until placed on his perch for bedtime . Very happy he is such an outgoing little guy for her 1st reptile (& Momma's as...
Is the glass reflecting at all or is there a mirror in the room? Ours does this at the slightest second walking by the closet door mirrors/if it's shadey and one of the patios sliders makes a shadowy competitive reflection. I know they can do it if upset as well, but I only have seen ours do...
I know they're starchier than a regular white potatoe, and have always assumed for acceptable gut feeder lists they we're referencing yams when saying sweet potatoe....kinda curious now which is the acceptable veggie/root.

Wow, i would seek an exotic vet asap, as they really seem to hide issues until it's nearly to late to treat.
If you have other reptiles, I would keep this new one isolated as well & always wash hands well before and after any...
Mowgli (Like from the Jungle Book?). Loki if he's michevious, it's so hard naming them, esp if you haven't had months upon months to watch their personality develop! He is a looker, beautiful.
Wow, I feel like I suggest @jannb all to often!! I think you should be penning a veiled book for all the advice and care you offer so many on these bequiling beauties!!
To reduce clutch size, lower her temps and reduce feed if you are not already. From what I've read this can really help in...
If you aren't already, if you add in a few shower sessions a week for him, he will grow to love them (or I'm just very lucky lol) and they can't really help him with successful sheds, eye washing, etc....
