How do you apply terramycin? My cham has an eye infection and someone recommended that to me, but when I tried to apply it, it was just a big glob and I couldn't get it smoothed out in a thin layer. The gel was really thick. Any suggestions??
Thanks
No, I'm out of the medicine that I got from the vet. I still have some terramycin which I haven't used yet. The vet said they weren't farmiliar with it, but that since it was from the same family of drugs and what she gave me, to use it if I felt the need. How do you apply it though? The last...
Suggestions, advice?......anyone?
Today when I went to check on him during the evening, I found him on the bottom of the cage with his eyes closed, while the mister was running. Later he was back up on a branch though, so I don't know if he was down there because he's sick, or because he was...
OK, here's what's up.
For a while there I thought Wilson was getting better. I bought a humidifier and a stronger bulb for his basking light and he started moving around and eating on his own. But a few days ago he started going back to the way he was. He doesn't move around much, and sleeps all...
As for if he is WC or not, don't know, we got him from PetsMart. As for parasites, again I don't know but we took him to the vet recently and she did not say anything about that. She thought he had an eye infection (I remember now that the Vet did say SHE found pus, but I never saw it), but he...
Oh also, you said "an irritating urate pass" Basically chamelion kidney stones, right?? What can we do for this? I know in humans often times you do not get it all out in one shot, is this the same for chams?
For a while now.. I want to say atleast a month. We took him to a vet and the vet gave us some eye-drops and eye cream. The drops ran out a little bit ago, and we still have cream, but the drops didn't help and I am not seeing anything that would make me think it's an infection (no pus, no...
Hey all!
I just walked by my chams cage, and found this thing hanging from the tip of a branch. What is it?? It's gooey and kinda looks like some sort of egg or something to me. I've included a picture of the 'thing', my cham Wilson, and his cage.
Heres a more detailed description:
As...
Hey, I'm trying to fix my lights on my jackson's cage. I see you have the lights resting on the top of the cage. How can you do that without you chams getting burned? That's what I want to do, but Wilson likes to hang upside down under the lights and I'm worried he'll burn.
Ok, here's an update!!
I took Wilson to a dr. and she said it wasn't vit A, just an eye infection. She gave me eye drops and some carnivour care so that I could hand feed him since he wasn't really eating on his own. That was over a week ago, and I've used up all the eye drops. His eyes are...
I talked to Dr. Wheelock yesterday and he had me give Wilson a bath. He's a bit more mobile today, but I'm still working on getting him to a vet today or tomorrow.
Chambabysitter, temps, you're right! His basking spot is normally around 79, and the rest of the cage is like 75. Dr. Wheelock...
um, I thought I was pretty thurough with the info I gave, is there anything else in particular you know that I left out. hmmm. Let's see, eating has always be a problem for him. I know that he ate a silk worm with a little bit of vitA oil on it yesterday. But I normally don't sit and watch him...
I've posted about my cham's eyes before, but he hasn't been getting better. Originally just his right eye would close sometimes, but now he has just started closing his left eye too, and I have noticed that in the past few days he has become a lot less active. He used to crawl around a good bit...
