if you have a working colony then roaches are all sizes. if you wish to make this your source you should start now and in a few months you should be able to use them as your staple.
a tall narrow cup works for crickets. they cannot jump straight up.
honestly a day off from food should not make a big deal. a lot of people give there chams day off from food so that they keep their appetite.
if your cham is still young or is gravid you may wanna avoid this however.
i recently started doing more cup feeding since I am wanting to switch to dubias as well. i have had no problems with mine tied so that the bottom of the cup is visable from the basking spot.
maybe you should tie the cup up behind a plant. this would help preserve the look but also put it...
got em. look good. already loving the fact that they dont jump.
i fed a few small ones to my cham and she loved them. i may feed a few here and there but I'm gonna stick to crickets until this colony gets going.
for anyone that doesnt know, crickets dont live much longer then this. so if you are looking to keep crickets for a while then you need to buy the young/small.
i was kind of wondering this too. how many should you have in a colony per cham? i do understand that roaches may be breed faster or slower based on their environment.
i think Ren is just trying to make sure that you learn from any mistakes. Maybe it was the site. However if you are not absolutely sure of this then you need to also look at your personal care of the animal.
For every animal that dies you should learn something so that the next one you have...
