Found my little mama Sofi sleeping in the little water leaf before leaving for church. (No water in it though) She usually sleeps in Zeke's pothos up top the enclosure. Looks comfy though! :) Silly girl.
Honestly, from personal experience, my female veiled ate way more than my male did when we got them as babies. (They are about half a year apart) We bought them from the same petco store as well.
Since you've had him for a generally short period of time, I would think it would be a matter of...
Thanks! Yea I know what you mean... The first night I tried putting him back he wouldn't go and even tried crawling back onto my hand. Haha! I wanted to give in too.
Sleeping Prince
I generally come home around 430 and our chams usually start winding down around 530. Zeke has been getting used to easing on my hand and is generally very calm when on my hand out of his cage. After a little crawling around and he just sits on my hand, I would lay down on the...
My veiled never really notices my female crestie chilln in his pothos, she's usually hiding in the leaves though. And shredder, the male crestie always sleeps in the bottom portion of the enclosure so he never sees him.
I'd say its more of a territory thing? His bubble is being invaded! :p
You're not alone!!! :( our Zeke got a pretty harsh burn on his casque too and it was while we were away at work. I doubt itll ever be the same, but a healed casque is better than infection!
It's not like we intended for it to happen, mistakes happen and as long as we do what we can to fix...
I didn't know what type of discussion this would properly fall into.
I'm sure most, if not all of you have heard of or have instagram. Whenever I take any pictures with or of my chameleons you can hashtag "chameleons_of_instagram".
I occasionally, if not often, will browse other's posts on...
Or that... So it's either you give up monty because you won't be able to attend to his needs with MBD when Brave gets bigger or you give up Brave who you favor more between the two??
Sounds to me that you are leaning more towards having Monty be with someone who can care for him. If it comes...
Cute!!! I was thinking why not use te "c" shape of the chameleon itself as the C for chameleon, but that foot is much cuter! After all, their feet are just one of the many cute things about them! :)
I say you do what you must. If it all comes down to what is best for Monty, then you know what the answer is. I can't imagine parting with my chams, but i'd do it in a heartbeat (after some sobbing) if it means they will be very well taken care of.
Hello! Nice to see you checking up on me! :) I was beyond surprised that she had this large a clutch for her 1st because she really didnt eat very much during the month she was developing them. Not because we weren't feeding her, but because she chose not to eat very much, which I thought was...
He sure is cuddling those apples a lot for not being in the mood to munch on them today. Guess I should've removed them before lights out.. whoopsies! but he was so comfy! I couldn't possibly disturb his beauty sleep! :)
Thats a good thing! My boy is just the same :) I can even give him kisses most of the time. :D
Its usually a hit or miss with getting one thats a sweetheart. Ive seen and heard of a few male veilds being pretty aggro. We're just one of the lucky ones! Enjoy the love!
$90 usd for our female veiled
$45 usd for our male veiled (had a 50% off coupon issued to us by an employee because we talked about wanting to get another and he saw how happy n healthy our female was ;) )
Both from The same petco in our area.
Im no expert, but I personally wouldn't worry too much unless he's gone more than a day without eating. My 6 month old veiled hasn't eaten a cricket today yet (and he loves them), but he did eat 5 large mealworms earlier. They'll eat when they're hungry. Make sure he gets enough water too. :)...
