As it seems in the glass, after a month of monitoring and such.. low humidity due to winter.. To keep humidity up, I need to spray more often.. problem is, this also adds a lot of extra water to the cage.. Not swamp or mud but very very moist substrate..

and if so what type? As they heat whole prey items with GI tracts.. they must get lots of beneficial bacteria through food.. but curious if this is something recommended at times of stress, post worming etc etc..

yeh if you where going to add some clay.. It would have to be FOOD grade type... there "could" be of benefit perhaps - not recommended..
However non toxic means non toxic to humans, and being not a food grade clay.. there could be all sorts of contaminants in it.. Onions and garlic are good...

since 99% of bottle water is FILTERD local water and there is zero difference between the makeup of "bottled" vs what comes out of ones tap at least in the US.. forget buying bottled.. by a basic britta filter.. If you must.. but most bottled water is the same stuff that comes out of ones...

False negatives in a fecal is common.. For all worms, Coccidia, and yes even giardia.. There are LIMITS to what parasites you are going to see on different methods of Fecals.. Parasites...
I know the medium that they use in reptworms and phoenix worms is ok if there is some on them for the reptile to eat..
You are supposed to keep them Cool (not fridge cool) and not feed them to keep them dormant..
BSF larva are very good composters, they will eat just about anything...
Another befit of this if you can get them to drink is the sanitation..
Not sure it would work or be a good idea all the time, (or at all) but you could also add water soluble vitamins to the water... or electrolytes if one needed to for various medical reasons :)
