Love this thread! Our lil panther guy Pascallywagz... (AKA Pascal) is pretty friendly. He often goes straight to the door as soon as he sees one of us and hangs there just staring like "Um...are you going to let me out?". I'll open his door and he'll climb out onto it and head straight toward...
Thank you! I make sure that when I spray him when he comes right up to the bottle, I squeeze the trigger super slowly and gently so that it comes out as a dribble and not a really a spray. It's a mini spray bottle so does not have as much force a large bottle. I try to be very conscious of that...
I'm just adoring my little panther; he's such an intelligent lil guy. Today he came up to me as I was hand misting his enclosure & sat there facing the mist bottle drinking. I gently squeezed the trigger so it was just slightly spraying out and he went right up to it and just let me spray him...
Wow- bless you for taking in this lil gal & the challenge of rehabilitation. When I got my lil guy he was recovering from a previous owner's inconsistent care which resulted in a nutrient deficiency. I've had him for a month now and fret over him like a mother hen as I've read about many...
Thanks a bunch! I do have a space heater that has a thermostat in it so it does not run constantly- only if temps drop below 70 degrees as I live in Mendocino County which is in Northern Cali & is not the warmest of places in the winter.
The reason why I ask is because he gets restless periodically during the day; he'll paw at his enclosure. When I open it up, he climbs right out onto his door and usually wants to climb straight onto me. I've been scouring this forum a bit (man there are some awful Cham horror stories in here...
Lol! I love my home state :) We've had our new lil guy for about a month now. I used to own Jacksons but that was around 17 years ago in SoCal, so the temp & humidity differences were pretty substantial..not to mention a lot has changed in the herp world since then though and this is my first...
Hello! Hope all if you are enjoying your day. I was wondering if a night time temp of 70 degrees is OK or if I should drop it a bit. I keep my panthers ambient temp at 77 degrees during the day. Also he is 6 months old- his current enclosure is a 16 x 16 x 30; is it time to bump him up to an...
Hi all! So my ambilobe panther, Pascal, acts really funny when I offer him silkworms. Sometimes he approaches them slowly & turns insanely beautiful colors for his age (he's about 6 months old and will turn shades of vibrant yellow, oranges, red...like a sunset) and sometimes he steers clear &...
For sure! As of now I'm down only to our panther; I had to give up my friends before I moved to Kauai. Ive been back on the mainland for quite some time now & my daughter is old enough to handle the responsibility of a chameleon, so we got our panther friend!
Hi there! I decided to join after three weeks of snooping. I found this site while trying to obtain information regarding Panthers. I have had reptiles all of my life (Burmese python, ball pythons, columbian red tails, rosey boas, Nile monitor, turtles (multiple types), Jacksons Chameleons ect...
