I am SUPER EXCITED TO ATTEND THE SAN DIEGO REPTILE SHOW!
I currently moved to San Diego from Ohio and I went to the Pomona show in January and I can't wait to compare. I'm even more excited to be able to walk out of my condo down the street to the show! I would have had to drive at least 2...
So some of you that know me know and who met Linus, the results for his edema are in from the lab. We had his neck drained Tuesday and the fluid shows...

We are now just seeing if the fluid will build...
I've been having quite a few issues with my male panther chameleon as well. I started a thread and gotten some good feedback. I have heard good things about Dave and his vast chameleon knowledge. :) i too live in San Diego. The weather has been a little cold here but it beats snow and no outdoor...
Fatty Liver Disease
Hepatic lipidosis can occur as a result of an excessively fatty diet, or in conjunction with starvation or anorexia. There may be liver damage from a back-up of excess gall fluid (an enlarged gall bladder may be evident). The affected liver becomes extremely swollen and...
Thank you for your amazing post! I feel the same. I want to make Linus happy and comfortable for all the time he has here.
It's reassuring to hear that sometimes things just happen. I just want to double check that I am doing everything I can for my little guy, in his best interest without...
He is definitely swollen. His back legs and hind tail more today than ever noticed. I thought it was bowel too, since the calcium problem/smooth intestine, and just all around problems. Strain to defecate too.
I'm just wondering if he is still able to recover from this all?
I really appreciate your whole comment. It really eased my mind.
I am trying to understand and do what I can and I do feel Linus is living to feed my knowledge and learn to be a better chameleon keeper. I am making changes to go to holistic ways. I am going to try and save him and hope to...

:) I went to medical massage school and i do feel that holistic is a natural good thing and should help more than kill you, but good to learn and know the propertie values of foods. I started researching the veggies, because 1. you should feed them to the bugs, but 2. if the lizard can eat the...
I know!!! Every vet I have worked with seems to help, but no real knowledge about chameleons specifically. I wish there were more chameleon specialists out there.
If i can do it, i want to go to school learn, get my degree but specialize in chameleons, learn from my chameleons, my chameleon...
Thank you! I didn't know all of this and it makes sense. When he got this in the first place I stopped everything because i didn't want him to die from over supplementing. Now i wonder if the vet is trying, but since we don't know what is really going on with Linus its him guessing about Fatty...
