She laid about 2 weeks ago and wasn't mated. I may well be over-feeding her though, I've never found anything telling me exactly how much to feed her. I give her locusts and everything on the internet is about crickets which come in different sizes to the locusts in my area.
My female veiled/yemen laid her eggs a few weeks back and went from being big and fat back to being skinny again. But over the last few days i have noticed her getting quite podgy again. Is this normal?
Thanks,
Dave

Might i suggest leaping lizards in York. As you live in Newcastle which is alot closer than i am to it. Its like a reptile superstore that breeds them.
Haha I wish i could build an outdoor enclosure. Trouble is i live in the UK so Rarely exceeds 25 degrees celsius (77 Fahrenheit) here!
Thanks though.
Does anyone know of any breeders of these species (see title) in the UK. I am a relatively new owner and realise these are harder to keep but im not really planning on getting one, at least not in the next few years. They are just very good looking species.
Thanks.
Just to let everyone who tried to help me know that my female veiled laid successfully the other day, and is now eating again. 51 eggs!! is that an average number or..? Just to try to help anyone who may be having any trouble - I used a bucket about 2/3 full of used compost moistened so it could...
Will a large plant die under the heat of the basking lamp?
Also would you recommend keeping the plants in separate pots or all together in one big one? I have a very large pot (its actually a water tank which I can modify) and i have many smaller and medium pots, so it doesn't matter to me.:D
