Looking to sell "Iwo", my adult male BB Ambanja. From Chuck G's (Heroic Chameleons) "Galactus" line, he hatched 11/15/2011. Velvety blue bars on a light blue background, red speckles and red streaks in his face when he gets excited. He's an awesome boy, very calm, will eat from your hand and...

"Truk" hatched out 4.5 months ago (November 20) and look at him now! And this is the second female he's been with. Last week was his debut with the ladies. Attaboy! (Hopefully he isn't shooting blanks at this age.)

    Baby panther

Assuming your buying a male - he'll need a big boy cage around 6 months - maybe sooner so it kind of depends how old of a baby you're getting. If he's 4.5 months+, just go with the big boy cage (24x24x36/48). If hes 3 months I'd go with the 16x16x30. Both cages you suggested will suffice so I...

    Mbd

I don't believe MBD is reverseable but maybe someone else can set me straight on that. Your cham should be able to get within 6" of that 5.0 UVB bulb. The strength of the bulb greatly diminishes with distance. Calcium supplement with out D3 everyday and with D3 every two weeks. Buy crickets...

    How Often?

I used to have umbrella plants in all my enclosures - 35 of them - and never lost a plant. All my cages have dual fluorescent fixtures with a 5.0 reptisun and a 6500k bulb for addititional light. Re-pot the plant with soil containing no fertilizers and mix with about 40% sand for good...

what is the lowest outside temp?

Panthers are not hot weather animals but 60-65 is a little cool for a day time temp. However, you might have hotter temps in the sun next to your house. 70ish is good. Maybe get him outside for an hour or so during the hottest part of the day near the house.

    Valuable lesson learned today!

Another tip - the beetles will eat the eggs/young so every couple of weeks its a good idea to move them to another container.

    Valuable lesson learned today!

Yes, seperating is the key. In a group, superworms will not turn to beetles, but once seperated they'll change. Place the beetles together in another container and you'll have all the supers you need.

    chameleon weezing at night

Agreed - respiratory issues. Don't handle him, let him be as stress free as possible and turn up the temp. Since reptiles can't regulate thier body temps by themselves, increasing the temps in his enclosure will be akin to a fevor which can knock it out - could take a week or more. He will...

    Thoughts from a show

Handing out an info sheet at the door on what to look for when buying a reptile is a good idea, Reptoman. I think the organizers ought to go one step further and forbid vendors from displaying and selling obviously sick and dying animals. As I watched people buy from these shady vendors, I...

    Thoughts from a show

So I decided to take a shot at a Reptile show this weekend. Hadnt done one in over 10 years and it was only 20 minutes away so what the heck. Sold more than I expected, met and talked to a lot of great people and made some very helpful business contacts. All in all a pretty good experience...
