You sort of contradict yourself there Chad? You say CC is used in zoos but then you say just because somethings used in zoos, it doesnt mean squat. Then you say you know Ferg. but you dont know anybody who uses my stuff. HMMM...
Also you seem to forget I mention 3 other main ingredients...
So lab test mean nothing to you? Have you ever heard of Dr.Ferguson? This product is used by zoos all over the world. And isnt this a chameleon forum? Shouldnt I recommend a product that works well for chameleons? And I have used this product to gut load insects that were feed to other herps and...
You know what works well for me. A black light and a white sheet. Set it up right before dark, wait a couple of hours and boom. Tons of insects! Soo many different fly and moth species, roaches, beetles galore, house geckos (stealing my bugs of coarse) you name it.
I use Monster Cricket Diet made by Zeigler Bros. Its the cricket chow used by Dr.Gary Ferguson and many other creditable people. Highly recommended for chams. I also use fresh bee pollen on a regular basis. A combo of the two make the ultimate gutload. (along with kale and citrus) Im not sure...
Wow what a debate........
Lets hook up the 600watt HPS bulb to the cage and find out what happens. My guess, cooked cham. Or lets keep our lady on a veg cycle and run the T5's 24/7. That should work. Crazy cham, Monster plant! Then we could clone her all day long.... Only OG in my Cages...
Jezz..............
Really people??? Im no square but why is there always someone who wants a pot plant in there cham cage?? Yes it would probably grow great depending on temps, lights etc. Sativas are toxic to animals. So be warned. But really, dont even try it.........
Great lizards! Ive worked with these guys. I was able to breed them. Just sold the pair. I would ditch that heat lamp and I do believe some UVB is important. Old bulbs work fine. Mine never swam though. I really never thought a large water dish was important. Just some thing minor for them to...
I may be down for some herping. Me and my old lady go out from time to time looking for non-native lizards, well all herps really. (shes from chicago area also) I live in West Palm. What sort of Anole research are you assisting? What species? Anoles are always on my list. The two species Im...
She looks gravid to me. Watch her weight. If she gains weight rapidly over a couple weeks, shes gravid. Also you can show her a male. If she flips out, and gains weight, you have a gravid cham. But hey I could be wrong...Goodluck!
Your female definitley looks gravid to me. And Kinyonga is correct. Odds are there will be some that are fertile and some infertile. Ive noticed from experiences that the longer the time past from the last breeding, the fewer the fertile eggs in the clutch. (hope I worded well?..)
Blue dots on female veileds usually means receptive, but not always. She may be gravid. Sometimes they hide the gravid colors but others may appear like the blue spots. I didnt read all the posts so Im not sure if you have introduced her to a male. Start weighing her and comparing weight...
