On Friday I received this absolutely stunning painting of Bella from @Twitchet. I was so surprised and emotional when I saw what she had done for me. There are some truly wonderful people out there! I love it to bits and it's hanging proudly on the wall next to where Bella's tank used to be.
As you may know, my sweet jumping spider, Bella, died earlier this month. I wasn't sure what to do with her tiny body, and someone suggested resin casting. I thought about buying a kit to cast her myself, but at the same time I was well aware that I would only get one shot to do it right. Then...
Dies he gave any more elsewhere on his body? My little Carpet cham had the Papilloma virus that caused a large growth on top of his head. I would definitely recommend a vet visit.
That's exactly how I used to feel. Could never understand why someone would want pet spiders. That was until I discovered jumping spiders. That led on to tarantulas, and I now have 6! Now, I totally 'get' why people have them and have so many! They don't do much, don't take up much room they...
Do you have any photos? Perhaps you could start a thread in the Health section and include photos there? It may be a sinus infection as they show up as a lump between the eyes. I also suggest you get him checked out by a vet.
Lmao! I'm sure she will! Hehe!
I have a pot that I encourage them into with a soft paintbrush. She's pretty calm and docile though! My Red Knee flicks a bit. Furby has never flicked hairs.
Nope! I actually had the Curly Hair out for a wander a few days ago. She's amazing, so sweet and takes her food so gently! I still can't hold any yet though. That needs more work! Here's a video of Furby having a wander.
Hope you had a lovely day! Ours has been a madhouse, but my grandson loved his presents, especially the Toilet Trouble game, which is hilarious! Sadly no new spiders, but I did get some money that I will be buying one or two spiders with in the new year! I have 3 on my wish list!
Well, here in the UK our native jumping spiders are tiny! I'm guessing you're in the US if you find them on your house. There are breeders all over, my first female was wild caught and laid a fertile egg sac not long after she arrived!
