[Miss Lily]

As you may know, my sweet jumping spider, Bella, died earlier this month. I wasn't sure what to do with her tiny body, and someone suggested resin casting. I thought about buying a kit to cast her myself, but at the same time I was well aware that I would only get one shot to do it right. Then, quite by chance, a guy posted a photo in a Facebook group of a spider moult that he had cast in resin, and he was offering a service! Well I jumped at the chance! I send her off on Monday, and got her back yesterday. He did the most amazing job with her and I'm so glad I had it done.

On Friday I received this absolutely stunning painting of Bella from @Twitchet. I was so surprised and emotional when I saw what she had done for me. There are some truly wonderful people out there! I love it to bits and it's hanging proudly on the wall next to where Bella's tank used to be.

That is an awesome resin! Also, @Twitchet , as usual that is amazing! I must say that painting would make even the most arachnophobic person smile .
