If you guys don't believe me that is fine, its very rare but I know it happens. I fed it one super, because it didn't chew the first one so I didn't want it to keep swallowing them, came back the next day and it was dead with a whole in the stomach. A super didn't eat its way inside of it...
Super worms are safe the majority of the time, I still use them for my lizards but yes I have seen the aftermath of giving a super worm to a lizard and it dying. I gave a armadillo lizard a super worm and then it just swallowed it without chewing and the next day it had a round hole to where its...
I have not heard of impaction but I have seen a lizard take down one without chewing it and the superworm chewed its way out, I think that is the main risk with them.
Maybe if you have roaches (crickets work too) Make a soup, I know if sounds nasty but I have done it and it seemed to be working well if you don't mind squishing them :)
Hope this helps

Yea getting a pure starter of adults will cost a pretty penny, males are not bad because, at least in my colony, the species is male heavy. Females are whats pricey not only are you taking a large amount of breeders from a colony.
I would also try theroachranch.com or theroachguy.com
Dubia's are great! I feed them to my dragons and gecko's and now my mantis has grown a taste for them. If you find someone local it probably wouldn't cost too much. I personally sell them (to locals only, sorry) a breeding pair and 100 mixed nymphs, normally large about to molt in to adults...
Do they all have the same nutritional value? One of the cheapest I've come by is chinese.
And what honestly is the nutritional value on them compared to say...a cricket?
