OMG What you don't want to see opening the delivery box

What a surprise!! Julie is beautiful and I'm glad she's okay. Best to keep a close eye on her for retained eggs, however after her ordeal and seeing as she's new in your home, normally you'd give her privacy and leave her be, right? In this case you may not be able to while administering care...

can I leave my chameleon with a sitter?

I am very lucky in that I have a couple who run a reptile boarding business out of their home AND they live very close to me! They love reps and don't charge a lot - they want to make owning a Cham or other reptile accessible for all, money wise. I pack up my chams and either use their cages or...

    Goodbye Isis; I love you!

I haven't been online for a few days and haven't had a chance to check this thread until now but I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words about Isis. Off to the vet today... :D

Glad to hear Rex is feeling better! My dearly departed Isis had a propensity for acquiring RI's as well, seemed like once she had one she got them quite often.

    Goodbye Isis; I love you!

It has taken me a week to sit down and write this, as I've been pretty upset with the passing of my beloved little veiled girl, Isis. We had been through alot together: She came home from the pet store at 11 weeks with pneumonia which lasted a good 6 months, but which we fought successfully...

    Does Turq's leg look wavy?

Ahhhhh, whew! Thanks everyone! You don't know how happy that makes me right now. I lost my veiled girl this morning, which came as a shock with its suddeness! I'm not sure I could handle more bad news. :relieved:

    Does Turq's leg look wavy?

I picked up Turq a week ago from a guy selling him on Craigslist and have been extremely happy with his condition even though his previous owner didn't really take proper care of him. Luckily he was only with him 4 months! I was taking pictures of him today and once uploaded, noticed that one...

    Yay she's laid!

She could be receptive in even less time. Are you wanting to breed her? If not you can keep egg production down if you lower her temps to a constant 82*F and feed her less, about 6 crickets every other day. This will also allow her to live longer as well.

    Veiled freaked out over blueberry

I feed my chameleons fruit once a week and they love it! Just make sure you cut it up small with no skin left on and they should learn to LOVE it in no time! My chams all eat mango, strawberries, canteloupe, blueberries and apple. I also feed them unsweetened apple sauce which they love...

Bleeding, swelling, and white on face...

Wow, that does not look good, poor little babe. Does the little lady have a name? Please keep us posted on her condition and I will keep her in my thoughts and best wishes. Very best of luck to you both.
