I don't know what those latches are made out of but we keep hearing the same complaint. I don't have one of the cages here so I can't examine it closely but is there a way to remove the latch easily? If you can, maybe you could just buy a latch from the hardware store and install it. I used...
Flightless fruit fly cultures are filling up with larvae so I can bring some good ones to the meeting. It's been an interesting month concentrating on making cultures. Ever since the last reptile show I have been working on different recipes and trying to find the best combination while only...
It's good to be skeptical. I certainly was doubtful about the effectiveness of the product. I started using Reptaid for some of the rescues that come in. In many cases, I believe it is the reason for the speedy recovery of some.
Hi Syn,
I have been fighting ants too. But I just use spray around the perimeter of my back yard. If you can find out where they are coming from, then try to deal with it at the furthest point away from your reptiles. You can clean up the ones inside with soap and water. Good luck
"Dog ate my tail!"
I know it's hard looking at things like that, but he can do fine with a partially amputated tail.
Good luck with him and take care!

It's blurry but it looks either like roundworm (a massive amount) or this garden worm. I don't think it's the latter though. Just noticed that some looked like they had hammer heads.
I make a lot of ficus bonsai and used to go through the hassle of washing plants two and three times to prepare them for a chameleon enclosure. But not any more. I'm buying from a wholesale nursery that has a special greenhouse where they don't use any pesticides. This is where LLL gets their...

I'm amazed at how well you have done with this veiled. The tongue shot shows she is doing great. Her weight looks better than previous photos.
Pat yourself on the back kiddo. You're a great chameleon keeper. For someone your age, it's impressive. Besides, you have taken us all into your...
As you may already know, ChamEO, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to chameleons. We take in any chameleon in need no matter its condition. We rehabilitate and find new homes for them whenever possible. Often they remain here in our care.
To help raise funds for ChamEO, we are...
Crickets will not smell if you do it right.
Keeping them outdoors, you're asking for ants. Ants love you now that they know you have crickets.
I keep crickets in tubs inside our guesthouse and they do not smell. I've been doing this since mid May and they just don't smell at all.
Here's...
My first experience with this was about 8 years ago when I had a huge cage in our bedroom. It was about 6 feet tall and the bottom of the cage was right about eyeball level of our cats. I was keeping F. cephalolepis females in this huge cage and I realized it was a problem when I woke up to...
