    My Oustalet

Thats a nice looking oustie! I have 2 captive bred and born males and I love them. Both of mine are about 1.5 years old. Your guy looks a little larger then mine and he could be over 2 years, but either way he looks good. If you have any questions on there care shoot me a message. I've had my...

    ? about my oustalets

Everything you described seems good. My ousties go through certain strikes where they will only eat one particular feeder. Sometimes its Dubia's, silkies, or crickets. I just try to make sure they are eating, but try introducing a new feeder. I know when I first introduced silkworms, they went...

    Pics of my oustalets

Nice oustie! I have 2 males that are 2nd gen cbb and I love them. Very easy going and very hardy! Very much under rated, good to see people raising some. Well just realized that this post is VERY old!

    oustalet ??

I mist my Oustalet's twice a day for about 20-30 seconds. They are not big drinkers though and I rarely catch mine drinking. Your cage size should be good, but bigger is better! I built a couple of 6'x2'x4' cages for my guys outside and when temps are too hot in AZ, I have a couple 2x2x4s. They...

    Oustaletts Chameleons care?

I have two Oustalet's. My guys don't like a lot of foliage. My guys like there cages pretty bare. Temp wise... I keep my ambient temps in the mid 80s and basking temps in the high 90s - They LOVE heat!! Not big drinkers either. I keep humidity in the 30s/40s and mine do really well. I've had my...

Laying Bin Set Up - Educational Video

Great post! Very educational and I didn't know you can rotate eggs when they are newly laid, is there any risks or should you try to keep them in the same position as close as possible to how they were laid? Please do more of these!!!

    Baby Mt Meru's

Any chances you will be selling any of these babies or in the future if you breed them again? I thought about getting a pair of these but they are pretty hard to come by.

    Giant Verrucosus Chameleon??

Yes, it is also called a giant spiny chameleon or simply Verrocosus Chameleon. It is not super common in the pet trade, but $300 is a bit high for a male (appears to be male from the pic). Unless it is CBB, I wouldn't even consider paying that much for one. Your talking about panther money for...

    Has anyone ever seen this...

Yes, I have seen the same. That is generally how I will describe his colors to other people. But, I know he is a full blood 2nd generation cbb oustalet. He will generally show his brown, red and white, but I occasionally see him flash these colors, I would love to breed him and see if he can...

    Has anyone ever seen this...

My littlest male Oustalet is starting to really show greens on him. My one of my other males showed them too, but just curious if anyone else has seen any males show these colors? I know the picture isn't great, but they are really bright turquoise greens throughout his body.

Lost one of my Oustalet's tonight!!

He was a male Oustalet Chameleon. He was one of 3 that I have had since about 3 months. They are 2nd generation CBB Oustalet's. I still have my other 2 males that are just over 1 year old.

Lost one of my Oustalet's tonight!!

Yeah, it was very strange, especially since my other guys have no signs/symptoms of anything and I've never had any problems with my guys. All my guys are on the same schedule, same food supply, same supplements, lighting, etc... I just hope nothing like this happens with my other 2 guys!

Lost one of my Oustalet's tonight!!

Thank you!!! I may very well do that, because now I'm a little scared for my other guys because this was so sudden? My fiance told me I should move his cage away from the others and that I should try to find out what happened with him. I took his cage outside checked for anything that could have...

Lost one of my Oustalet's tonight!!

The day started normal... I turned on my chams lights misted them down, fed them, and went to work. I came home misted my guys again and then turned off the lights about 30 minutes ago, I hear a thud from one of my cages... I look inside and one of my males is on the bottom of the cage on his...

    Anyone else experience this behavior...

The other thing, I didn't mention is that this was pretty close to their normal bedtime too, which may have contributed to the reaction. I tried it this morning and I didn't get the same reaction. My 2 males were ok with it and let me continue like "no big deal," but my skittish guy was like...
