    Oorana Mena or Nosy Mitsio

pure, i'm with you. I think breeders should show their choice chams flared up, sleeping, and at rest. My cham isn't very aggressive so i never see those wild colors, i mainly see his excited colors, or his rest colors. Anyway, I want a nosy faly bad!

Just got my first batch of Phoenix worms, initial impression

I have to say the packaging makes this product seem pretty exciting. The large phoenix worms are still pretty damn small. I think a juvi cham could still easly handle them. They are stored in a moist sawdust like material that sticks to them like crazy. Sort of a PITA to get that stuff off. The...

video of my enclosure and some pics

Thanks for the responses guys. There's a 5.0 reptisun tube in that light. I do leave that window open from time to time. I already repositioned the branches now that I was looking at it on the picture. I made them a little more vertically oriented. With regards to UVB I obviously have some...

video of my enclosure and some pics

I don't think he needs anymore. He spends little time in the foliage. I think Panthers tend to like to have some more "room". This is just what I've read, nonetheless, I'm trying to grow out the plants a bit. They get a lot of direct light from the window so hopefully it will shoot up a bit

video of my enclosure and some pics

Hey guys, I wanted to share a video of my free range enclosure. I've been really happy with the setup. It really allows for much better viewing of your cham. Leon has become pretty bold and spends most of his time sitting far out on a branch where I am able to walk right up to him. He hand...

    Worried

I wouldn't sweat it until it lasts for more than 3 days. I agree that there is often a little personality shift when shedding. Must be a rather uncomfortable thing to have to crawl out of your skin.

    Interacting with your chameleons

As soon as I moved my ambilobe to a free range setup he's really taken to people. He will climb on me as soon as I reach out a hand. Early in his life I worked really hard on food association. He was terrified of me. I think he sees me now as the moving tree that has food and therefore wants to...

    New cageless/ free range enclosure

thanks for the feedback guys. I really like the setup too. It's much nicer to not have to look through a screen when watching him move around. He's also become a lot more friendly/confident. He will run out one of those branches right up to my face expecting food. nonetheless, I'm making sure...

    New cageless/ free range enclosure

You bring up an excellent point. This could become an issue as he does wander quite a bit, still he does stay under the light a fair amount. With these lights what's the minimm hrs per day that's safe? He chills between 8" to 16" from the light typically. Being that it's the summer time, I allow...

    New cageless/ free range enclosure

day 4 and he's stayed put, I found a new branch that's pretty huge but he seems to like it. At first I think it was freaking him out a little, but I came home today and he was sitting on it. I hand fed him a few and then let him chase some crix down. Always entertaining. He's really comfortable...

    New cageless/ free range enclosure

I wanted to do this since before I got him. I need to get a few more branches. His basking spot is like 82, I'd like more like 88. Anyway, got the auto mister on there. he seems to be loving it. i let him acclimate to the tree over the course of a couple of weeks. No more cage!

5 month panther. How are his colors coming along?

Thanks for the comments guys. He's from Screameleons, sired by Xirxis. He has a very laid back demeanor though unlike his dad. Come to think of it though I think Xirxis is a mix blue/red bar. So we'll see where his colors end up. I'll for sure post updates. Anyone else have a Xirxis male? I would...

5 month panther. How are his colors coming along?

What do you guys think. Leon's a 5.5 month red bar ambilobe. Here's a shot from a week or so ago. one of the few times I've seen him fire up. He was just chilling in his usual spot and out of the corner of my eye I saw him start huffing up so i snapped a shot. He also shot out the hemipene...

    Having trouble handling your Cham?

I've been working with my panther as well. He's a little shy to climb onto my arm. I started with hand feeding. He picked up that in about a week. He was very shy though, would sort of hide, then quickly lift his head, shoot at the cricket and then go back to hiding. Slowly he's become more...
