Well this morning I woke up and I noticed my chameleon did look as active as normal like he didnt normally go for the food like he always does, and also I noticed that the colors on his face is kind of "faded"

Is he shedding? and I am wondering if the crickets i am giving him Is not enought nutrition

he is only 5 mnths old

the crickets range from medium to large, i do dust and gutload with store bought cricket food, Calcium is Zoo med and does not have D3 in it I have had him for about 10 days please let me know

Chams can go off food or not be as interested when shedding.
The dull head will eventually go white and shed.
Variety is best so you should offer other foods as well as crickets(silkworms, hornworms, etc.)
Also for the crickets a variety of vegetables and fruits for gutload will make them more nutritious.

So Is he shedding?

Also how do you keep your crickets because mine die out and also they seem to get "mushy" and soft after a while and call me crazy by i think Francis <my cham> haha likes them crunch cause i dont know he moves quicker after the first good one....

I wouldn't sweat it until it lasts for more than 3 days. I agree that there is often a little personality shift when shedding. Must be a rather uncomfortable thing to have to crawl out of your skin.

It does sound like a shed is imminent. Do you have any pics you could post? Amy is 5 months old too and she shed on Sunday - at that age the shedding is over and done with in a day! Amy doesn't go 'faded' but her casque goes shiny just before she sheds. Lily, my first cham, did get the faded look. Check out my thread with pics of Amy shedding: https://www.chameleonforums.com/amys-snowstorm-28186/

Ok good I will get pictures later on today I am at work its just he is worrying me so I hope its just shedding
