    Just a little worried.

Figured I would add a few pictures of him (just taken) in case somebody see's something not right. He looks healthy to me and for the first time I realize how big he really is (takes up my whole hand.) Maybe I'm just over protective or something. This is why his name is Moses...

    Just a little worried.

It is fine. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond. I appreciate the reassurance.

    Just a little worried.

He is a Veiled, not a Jackson. Either way, if it comes down to me just being over watchful, I can live with that. lol

    Being a Chameleon...

I checked before I got it. It's on the safe plant list for Cham's. Willow (the Salix species), which it is. Thanks though.

    Being a Chameleon...

First off, not sure if this should be here or in the picture forum (as it mentions video in the description). So, hopefully I guessed right. I let Moe hang out outside his enclosure this morning. I first put him on his Camellia but he didn't want to hang out on it so I transfered him to his...

    Wanting to take him outside

That is what I did this summer. He stayed outside most of the time but if the temps dropped or when the hurricane was coming I moved him inside and outside, cage and all. I wouldn't say he was thrilled with it but once the cage was sitting stable and his plants were back inside it he was his...

Are you trying to hand feed?

Moe took a lot of patience. Sometimes I would give up but try again the next day. I like it because I know exactly how much he has eaten and know the bugs arent hiding in the plants or something. Also, makes me feel like he trusts me more.

    Large Improvement

Thanks. I thought that the black shelving I used was going to make it look all tacky but it doesn't look bad after all which is great. Before hand his enclosure was sitting on the ground. With being on the shelf, the top of his enclosure is sitting at 5' 8". I like it a lot better and I think he...

    Large Improvement

So I went on a spending spree for Moe yesterday and wanted to share his updated enclosure pictures. I think it is pretty much done, all I'm waiting for now is the Rain Dome I ordered and I need to get some lighting done for the two trees. First, a before picture... (Taken outside but always been...

Are you trying to hand feed?

Thats really neat. I hope you continue to have success with him, though I'm sure that won't be a problem since he has been doing so well for so long now.

Are you trying to hand feed?

Just hand fed a cricket for the first time. It awesome that he is taking anything I offer him now.

    Thanks for the help.

Are you trying to hand feed?

Thanks! Always nice to hear he looks good and healthy. I was worried at one point that he wasn't growing like he should but that worry was layed to rest through this site. I've also just purchased a Rain Dome system for him. I've been hand misting and my job doesn't allow me to do it like I...

    Plant Light

Would that be bought in a place like Home Depot? I'm guessing you use this so there is no harm to the cham.

Are you trying to hand feed?

6 years? Wow! Nice to hear he is still doing good partially blind and living to a ripe ol' age. I was curious, does he use his tongue at all or do you just drop the bug in his mouth?

    Plant Light

What do you guys use to help keep your plants alive? The cage was outside all summer so the plants were fine then but since it is getting cool at night now I brought everything inside. I don't want the plants dieing off this fall and winter so I was wondering if there is another bulb I should...

Are you trying to hand feed?

It took a while for Moe to finally be more than confident with eating from my hand. It was weird though because he would eat the crickets right out of the plastic container they came in when I was buying them 25 at a time. I would open the container in his cage so the crickets wouldn't go...

Are you trying to hand feed?

I have successfully fed Moe now every day by hand for approximately five days or so. I thought I would share a possible coaxing method. I started off slowly limiting his cricket intake as he was addicted to them. At this time I also moved my hand throughout the enclosure during the day, not...

    Mood Swings?

Does anybody else's Cham seem indecisive when it comes to their mood? Moe used to be laid back but had to be coaxed on my hand to be held. I only successfully hand fed him once or twice as well. Then the one night I woke him and he was livid (understandable). The next couple of days he was his...
