    eggs

She will be seen at the bottom of her enclosure scratching and trying to dig. Or in a plant actually digging. However it is said to have a bucket about 8"-12" full of moist play sand so that she can dig a tunnel. Plant roots can be harmfull if bacteria has been introduced due to too much...

    Light & heat source for Veiled(s) ?'s

Well I would position your ReptiSun 10.0 to be just on the edge of the basking lamp beam so that the 10.0 is delivering UVB/UVA. Cruel Example: This will simulate the sun much better and allow your Chameleon to absorbe the much needed UV rays while he is basking under his heat spot.

    Butter never drinks !!!

Also what are you gutloading crickets with? If its with All-In-One Cubes then she is getting water from eating the crickets also.. 10 gutloaded crickets is like 10+ drops of water a day. Should have also mentioned that if you make your own gutload and use such things as Oranges, Iceburg...

    Love Thang....

Victoria loves to have her chin rubbed and loves to be handled. Constantly disinfect foaming my hands when I go to feed and check things becasue she will always be at the door of her cages when I am near. Whenever I'm working in the office she will rush to the side where my main system is and...

    another on strike.

Your silkies are far better ballanced live food then crickets. About the same in fat but far better in other suplimental needs. I would rotate a little if you have too many of both.. Perhaps Crickets 1 day and silkies the next rather then offering both each day to keep the varation going...

    my veiled cham died

Well thats good to know. I read the plant database here and it says to be cautious on pothos. I'll put mine back in if such experience has been established with the plant. I was more on the safe then sorry routine on that one. Ficus however is for sure one that will need to be watched.

    My awesome blue panther sick?

Thats good that he has opened his eyes in the shower.. The steam is grea t from them and they love the moister. Yes with a ReptiSun 5.0 and a spot lamp for basking this will be great for that size of setup. Make sure that your chameleon can get within 12" of the ReptiSun 5.0 or even closer...

    My awesome blue panther sick?

From my understanding of looking into Mercury Vapor Bulb use an enclosure must be 6' (feet) or taller for such needs and that the atleast a foot from the highest possible climbing spot (upside down hanging from cage is possible). These light have massive UV output and are designed for large...

    my veiled cham died

Just a side note on real plants. Some chameleons will eat the plants. Veiled for one is a plant eater aswell. I recentlly had to remove my Pothos out of my enclosure due to her eating the leaves. Eating a pothos too much can cause problems and ficus has a very small toxic level but if mine...

    chameleon has darkened

Could be security.. He should be able to climb higher then your eye level when standing next to the cage. This will give them a better feeling of security. The color change can be season change too. But really its hard to tell from a remote stand point. If their still doing their daily...

    two sides two colour shades

I bet he is kinda flat looking and almost looke like a Satilite Dish? He is absorbing heat and that is perfectly normal.

    uvb light

Well if you can take him outside in some 80 degree sunlight each day where either you can watch him or he is in an enclousure then he should be okay. If not make sure he has supliments Calcium with D3 added to all his food in a dusted application.

    chameleon has darkened

Movement more then anything but if nothing has changed then perhaps it may be enclosure size. He has plenty of room for his age? Sound really isn't a big factor. Chameleons hear vibrations rather then sound tones.. But given enough BASE from Sub-Woofers you bet you'll stress it out big...

    New Pic of The eggs

Somene will key in here soon that has experience with eggs. The egg looks healthy to me. No mold and has the moister just right it looks like. No raisin looking effect which BTW is okay at mild forms. But this looks like a healthy egg. Just don't shift or rotate them in anyway. But this...

    chameleon has darkened

Skin adjustment perhaps. Are you watching him more often now after the shed? If so perhaps your stressing him out. Could be colder then normal at this season and temps in enclosure are lower so the chameleon darkens to absorbe more heat. Behavior the same? Anything different in diet or the...

    Need Humidifier recommendation??

Well 1/2" is pretty small. The warm air system may contrap all the mist to cling around the inside of the PVC and thus leaking out in water drops and/or back down into the machine.

    my veiled cham died

Sorry for your loss... If you could give us some pictures or more details on your setup such as if you had subtrate on the bottom, light brand names and length of time each day they are on and off, what Vitiman Supliments were you using and how often, how old was your chameleon, is that a...

Burns When the Temp is not too High?

Fresh bites look brown when they happen and turn black during the healing or if infected.

Burns When the Temp is not too High?

Could be infection and/or cricket bites. If the temp is never above 90 then I find it hard to believe that it would be due to lighting burns. It sounds more like skin infection.
