I find that it takes a while for my guys to start drinking sometimes so the shorter misting times are probably not a good option.
I am also in Ontario and I use screen cages. One is custom and the other two are Reptibreeze. I have not had any issues with heat and humidity through the winter...
I do use the same cup for silks or horns....they don't last long enough to escape:D A shallow plastic dixie cup could work the same if you are looking for something a little deeper.

Cage transfers or full cleanings are the only time I bother mine.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Drew. Whether I'm making a purchase or just stopping in at an expo he and his wife are great people. They have done alot up here for reptile enthusiasts as well. You should see the crowds at their booth when they have their breeders there!!!:eek...
