    Lighting Questions

Lightyourreptiles.com has the best lights and customer srervice. arcadia bulbs are excellent uvb bulbs. I have 4 bulbs in my 2 dual 24 inch tropic blaze high output T5 fixtures. 1 12% Arcadia bulb (heavily planted enclosure) 2 6.5k daylight bulbs, and 1 plantpro bulb (my plants are very happy)...

    branches

Why would you strip the bark of the limbs and make it more slippery when wet? There is no benifint to this. Using only healthy fresh cut branches is what you want.

Can u over KILL w/ Lights??

Let's be clear, the basking bulb's purpose is not to heat the environment, it's to provide a basking spot that a chameleon can go to and from. In the winter I use a 75w and in the summer I switch to a 60w. Really depends on your climate.

    Dowel rod ladder

I don't like the look of the ladders. Fresh cut limbs/branches varying in diameter have always appealed to me so much more. To each their own of course.

Screencage or Terrarium because of Humidity

An option is a humidifier for the room the chameleon is in. You live in a dry climate so your husbandry will be more challenging then a person in a not so arid area. Glad your doing this BEFORE you get a chameleon.

    Dubia Roach Breeding Question

I don't use any heat besides putting my colony bin near a radiator. My colony keeps growing and growing. I have no doubt that if I did use a heating pad of some sort, my colony would be much bigger. I'm fine with the slower growth as I have a single chameleon.

    Roach Feeders

Dubias are great survivalists. Easy to breed and keep. As mentioned a small colony can grow extremely fast if conditions are optimum. I don't even use a heating pad under my dubia bin and they are still multiplying. I only have a single chameleon so I'm not insistent on having thousands. It's my...

Two new jacksons and one enclosure

Before you open it send/take the monsoon back. Terrible product that will fail. Get a mistking mister and be done with it. Also ideally 2 enclosures will be a better idea for 2 chameleons.

    Contant issues Mistking misting systems

wow, I've had 0% issues with mine. Never had a leak and set up was easy. Are you misting more than 1 enclosure? Just wondering why you went with the +$70 ultimate system instead of the starter kit? Multiple cages? So your leaks are coming from the lines going into the fittings? Not the pump...

    Chameleon drinking water! :)

I would suggest losing the substrate. There is no need for it other than aesthetics. Easier to clean with out it also. I didn't see my veiled drink for 6 months after I got him. He is, as mentioned by jannb, a secret drinker.
