    feeding meal worms

So do i. He loves them, they are easy to gutload, and they are cheap. Like Fluxlizard said, a good part of a varied diet.

Any1 ever feel guilty about having chameleons in captivity?

I feel far more guilty about the pigs, cows and chickens I eat on a regular basis. Learn about how very cruelly humans treat food animals like they were factory "things" rather than living creatures, and you start to think vegetarians are right. Or at least those organic free-range oh-natural...

    Meal worms and phoenix worms

I offer mealworms about once a week. They are easily gutloaded. They have a fair amount of chinton as compared to easily digestible "meat" and like all larva are a bit fatty. However they can still be a perfectly acceptable addition to a varied diet. My adult panther doesnt seem to notice...

    Chameleon safe glue

If the bugs are able to chew on the hot glue, injest it and are then eaten by the chameleon, wouldnt that be a bad thing? I'd rather use aquarium safe non toxic silicon as a "glue"

    Ambilobe x Nosy Be cross

If you want to be able to have some kind of expectation of what the offspring will look like, dont cross breed. Breed pure Nosybe and pure Ambilobe, and then you'll have a very good idea of what you'll end up with. Cross-breeding results are always a coin-toss, so if you dont like mysteries...

    Rep Cal questions.

Its not necessary. My guy never goes outside and he is fine. I use the Repcal D3 product about twice a month. If he went outside, I may give him less D3 supplement or use a supplement brand that had less in it. just the opposite, crickets have the wrong calicum to phos ratio. thats why we...

    Lighting?????

Yes, it can, assuming the ambient temp of your house / the area isnt too low. Household incandenscent bulbs come in a number of different wattages, from 20 - 100+. Choose the bulb that provides the right amount of heat for your situation (measure with a temperature guage). Increase or...

    Why only certain cross breeds?

There are crosses of all sorts of panthers, including the ones you like :) Some crosses are more common than others for two reasons (imo) 1 - those crosses typically produce attractive offspring - people like the look of the results - same reason some "pure" breeds are more popular than others...

    water question

Minerals dont evaporate so boiling woudl not remove them. Your chameleon could probably use the minerals, so long as there are no heavy metals or extraordinarily unhealthy high levels of anything (if it is safe for you, its safe for the cham)
