wouldnt worry about not seeing her drink as long as her urates are white.
if she dont respond well to contact, thats your answer, dont take her out.

MY MALE eats dirt from time to time, the same i see him down in his plant shooting dirt. i wouldnt worry to much as long as he's eating pooping and acting normal. some attribute soil eating to a vitamin/mineral imbalance.
i have a 2x2x4 cage lllreptile and i slide my schefflera to the side giving me just enough room for a 15" high egglaying box. when she starts plumping up i throw that box in there and wait;it doesnt disturb her.

keep the container in the cage if you have room, so she can decide when to lay and not you. my female layed 55 eggs about a month ago and it took her about 24hrs.
