Yea..that is kinda cool...but in some circumstances introducing non-native animals can be disastrous....I.e.,Burmese pythons in Florida, frogs in Hawaii,......the brown snake in guam has wiped out most of the bird population there...not saying the anoles are harmful, but who knows what bug...
Not trying to bash on you,but how is he going to feed, heat and provide light and water to your animal??!!....as far as perfume, I would say that would really not be very healthy for him/her!!! IMO
I don't want you to think I'm bashing on you and its obvious that you love your Chameleon...but think about this....your sitting in your house and some monster thats 1000 times bigger than you comes and picks you up and takes you out to show its other monster friends...how would you feel???!!!!!!!
Thank you Olympia....I allways tell people that I deal with is to treat chameleons like "fish" cool look at but don't "play" with....stress will kill your animal...if you want something to tame...get a dog!
Not enough fruit fly production!!!! Interesting...I realize temps to make a difference but what fly media/recipe are you using?....raising dart frogs I hag learned that you need to start a new culture at least every couple weeks or sooner...but the other thing that maybe slowing your production...
Sounds good...I've fed my baby Oustalets hydei after they've hatched....l find them to be a great starter food source before they progress to pinhead crickets...
For the younger cham, try flightless fruit flys...heydei works the best for me...its a little larger than your standard wingless or curlywing fruit flys....go over to Dendroboard.com..tons of info there on how to culture...
Too funny...A few cents for a deli cup...Problem solved!!!!
I've been using the "deli cup" method for years..The animals prefer the rain for drinking the water running off the leaves..But I still mist them, by hand, to up the humidity and to help with shedding!!! Also you can move your cage...
When I was there last year,Maui, I saw some W.C. jacksons for sale in a pet store..They were also "selling" silk worms there also....Note in the first picture the silkie in the right side of the photo..Also in pic #2 DON'T yell at me about the FAKE rubber snake in the cage...That was the doing...
