He's a really good guy and has more chameleons than I've seen anyone else have. If he doesn't have what you're looking for he'll definitely be able to point you to someone who does!
From a guy up north (cham25 if you're on captivebred forum in the UK)
Cheers all! It took a while for his colours to start showing! His sire was a real cracker!
Well, seeing as the weather is becoming fairly nice in the UK now, I figured i should set up an outdoor enclosure for my panther chameleon Nero! So here it is:
And the man himself!

Thanks for looking!
My veiled has grown out of it but now that my panther has started doing it I thought I'd ask! Both around the 1 year mark so i thought it might be linked! I've also noted a few sperm packets around which led me to the mating idea.
They're funny critters!
Ok, scrap the last one, is this the right stuff:

I think it is! I'll get 2 rolls tomorrow!
Sorry, I couldn't search for this as my search wouldn't work so i apologise upfront if this has been asked before!
Anyway, my question is: has anyone else noted that chameleons like to climb on the mesh of their enclosures when they get to around 1 year old? If so, why do you think they do...
Thanks guys! I'm in the UK so the only thing that might cause me an issue are bees/wasps which would definitely be able to get through 13mm x 13mm mesh. Maybe the aluminium mesh is the better option then. It is epoxy coated so it should hold up alright outside.
Right then, with that in mind, i...
I've searched around a bit and got nowhere looking for inspiration, so I thought I'd just make a thread!
The main thing I want to ask is what type of mesh do people use on their outdoor enclosures? I have some spare aluminium flyscreen mesh, but I don't think it is really robust enough to use...
If you've bought a new one I guess I'm a bit late, but that size of enclosure would have been fine! My baby panther started in 2.5" x 2.5" x 7" enclosure. I do have the luxury of using locusts as my main feeding insect, which head towards the light in the enclosure and dont hide very well at...
Old trick but looks good: get yourself a piece of plexiglass that'll cover the base, then using a heat gun (a hairdryer works if it's thin plexiglass!) heat the middle until it sags enough so that the water drains down into the middle. It doesn't need to be much of a sag for it to work! Then fix...
It might not be your fault! I had an umbrella plant die on me and I could understand why! Once I took it out, the problem became clear! You know the stuff florists use to arrange plants? They stuck one of the shoots into that and put that in the pot too! Basically, I had one living plant and one...
