Yeah, I agree David, pretty switched on...Good luck, I was going to chime in but the other boys handled it quite well...lol
This is the best site and the nicest people you'll find on a site, welcome to the community and keep us all posted on the progress.
I think it's Molly from the pics as...
Crushed brick will do the same..
As HiroPrtagonist says, coconut coir is unreal, in one of my lizard enclosures (not chameleon) I have a coir substrate with plenty of plants just growing in that...no problems at all, you just have to find the plants that will thrive just in coir! I also put...
Yeah, i'm going to incorporate something similar as I don't want to penetrate the screen, as mentioned before, it will eventually increase in size over time....
Anyone else have any other good ideas for attaching your furnishings?
Cheers

Dittio comments to Brad's!
You may know from my previous posts, i'm a massive fan of the silky, not just for my cham but for my other lizards as well!
LOL the silky salad, good idea, I think i'm going to try that for my guy who isn't that chuffed about his greens yet.:(
Cheers

Nice set up Drew!!! :)
Yeah, I see what you mean with the dowels etc, it gives you the option to position vines to any height in the cage. I guess the beauty in that is, when your cham grows you can lower the vines under the basking light so it's not all "hunched" up under the light whilst...
S/N,
Awesome looking setup and beautiful cham.....
Off topic but I have just purchased a small humidifier similar to the one in your pic, you have obviously mounted it towards the top of the enclosure, 2 questions if you don't mind: how did you mount it there?
Does your cham hang out in or...
Good thread, very interesting, good info Brad,Kent,Catherine & Co....I've been reading info i've googled on these different specie.
My question is that white patch on his head, is that a skin infection/disease or does it change colour?
Is it only prominent when he's pissed off?

Australian reptile park, it's staff, his best mate Wes and of course Bindi, Steve's daughter, will keep the dream alive...
He's big in Australia, but he's just as big in America, which has always been a spin out for us Aussies, who didn't really know that until he passed....
Dave, i'm not sure of your fly specie, but it depends on the temperature, that determines how long or short the pupae hatch.
Do a google search, you'll find all the info you need for your specific fly specie.

Mold usually occurs when you have too much mulberry leaves that are almost eaten, then you top it up again with fresh ones and so on, it's like a compost, sits there breaking down, produces mold. Also if there is not enough ventilation/air circulation, that also keeps things moist enough to...
500 eggs all hatching at once...
That's going to be pretty heavy going dude...depending on how many animals you have to feed of course.
In my experience, you need to stagger your breeding/feeding cycle, but it is experience and without knowing your situation, it's hard to comment.
I...
Your right lonnie, just being anal I guess.
It seems funny that a (basically) purpose built chameleon cage haven't thought of this pretty important little extra, after all chams are arboreal and heating/lighting is almost always at the top, then again they really havent really thought of...
Yeah, well that's what I thought you would have to do...
So, you actually have to penetrate the screen with the wire, what a pain in the butt, this is a potential escape route for your feeders, albeit a small escape route...lol
Then there's the unsightly twisted ends of the wire externally on...
Hey all,
As you may or may not be aware, I live overseas and could not get a aluminium screened cage anywhere here.
So, you kind people pointed me in the direction of LLLReptiles who are sending me a 24x24x48 cage, awesome....
Looking at it, there doesn't seem to be anywhere to fix your fake...
LMAO, Gesang that's priceless, you captured the moment (with music) to a tee... hilarious...:D:D The drum solo was definately when I was tripping over everything.
It reminds me of the old Tom & Jerry cartoon music, do you think..
Thanks for the laugh gesang!!!

CATHERINES HUSBAND>>>> SHE HAS ROACHES IN THE HOUSE!!!!:p
Sorry just yelling to your Hubby to dob you in..lol
My wife hates them all except the silkies.
In my country our feeder roaches climb anything, we have to paint the sides with teflon paint to stop them..
Funny story, yesterday I got...
