FLAPS RULE!!
they display behaviors that i haven't seen in other cham species, they are easy (in cham terms) to care for and are nice looking to boot!
I to think they are completely under appreciated as are carpets.

jsut because they are small dosent mean anyting, alot of small chams need roaming room , id say 1.5' or more on each side min. Gestation i dont know specifically i think it depends on seasion 4-6 months would be my estimate, babies are tiny less then a inch they usually eat fruit flies or pin...
No HEAT!!
Rudis are montains and temps must be low (within reason) I haven't used heat with any of my rudis offspring most of the time in the summer i have to run a/c to keep them cool. if a spot is used id suggest a very low wattage and not in a tank.
as for the cup feeding issue...
Agar Agar is veggie baised much better for chams
that said if your raising roaches not for feeders for chams the gelatin would work fine and is much cleaper the Agar. or you could use to get a colony going then switch to agar.
there is also a dry gutload called "Roach Coach" that id highly...
yes i know the species list off adcham my question is i thought any cham that had spurs was born (hatched) with them not developed later mabey i wasent clear. so has anyone had babies that were not born with spurs but they appeared later on?
Some pondering
I hatched C. d. dilepis babies last year, i got only one male in the bunch which had a obvious hemi-penal bulge right out of egg (no spur). What has shocked me is that the male out of the blue grew spurs. I have never heard of spurs growing out at 4-5 months has anyone else...
