A couple of things stand out that concern me one he can get on the ground and two thats a high traffic area. Fix those two issues and I think the chameleon would be fine.
I understand now have fun. As a matter of fact I'm sitting here waiting for 1.2 pumilum to arrive this morning. Any feedback or info on the pumilum would help me out alot.
I don't want to rain on your story but unless you have a permit to keep them your shouldn't and you probably know that already. Why don't you just watch them in the wild as is. They are beautiful and protected sorry my 2 cents.
I tried to bring mine in one night because it was going to get cold and for the first time he tried to bite me after 4 years of keeping him. I am very happy he missed they can stike at any time I learned my lession.
I had a wc faly that would lunge, bit, hiss and anything else you could think of and on the other hand I had a mitsio that would come to the cage door when he saw me. So it's all about personality good or bad.
I think chameleons turn brite for specific reasons eating, breeding, fighting who knows how much energy it takes to turn colors if any. You might be seeing a relaxed state or his natural coloration because he looks fine to me. He moves away from the light because he's had enough.
That's one way to shut it up. Parsonii are picky eaters if that's what he wants so be it. Mine wont eat any kind of worm or mice never tried a bird though. That's SSimsswiSS Parsonii.
