I just had a Cham hatch (1 day old ) that was the same size as the one you have pictures . Granted they grow a bit slow as neonates. But I'd guess less than a month old and female!
lol, the thread title made me excited till i opened the thread. (not to take anything away frpm you Cham, he's awesome).. The Cham in my avatar is also named "Chance". Sadly he was sold, and thought this might have been an update of him.
NO!!! You don't want any kind of animal (mammal) processed food as a gut load. Most of them are high in animal protein which may cause gout from raised uric acid levels in you Cham.
Ahh. That does sound weird. If you have a receipt still, send it back they will send you a new unit.
And yes he is .. I regret selling him. But I have eggs from him hatching, so I'll be sure to keep a holdback.
Yes. All the lines is pretty much the same 1/4" . What's your issue with it? I find that if you run 2 nozzles or less it will mist. Any more and it will spray. I actually like it for what I'm using it for.
Here is one of my ExoTerras with a 3 nozzle set up (2 spraying and one "raindome"). If...
The answer is yes. It's a servival strategy. In the case a mated female was ever put in a position (possibly set adrift and landed on an island). If she has mated prior, it's possible for up to 3 clutches I have heard. I assume this would w enough to possibly establish a isolated population ...
Not sure. They are a few days old now and are verrrry small. I build another one today and currently have 4 in one and 5 in another. They seem to have plenty of room. I'll play it by eye. But once they are on B.dubias and crickets I'll more than likely put then back in a real cage. 14 more eggs...
I use applecider vinegar with some dish washing liquid. Worked well. But I would always find about 15-20 FruitFlies by the window across the room. Meaning the have to cross the room to get there. I also have a lot of fruits because I'm a juice nut and I'd like to avoid getting any maggots in...
Perfect. If you were to take them outside in direct sunlight I'd suggest you do screen on all 4 sides and the top so it doesn't get too hot while outside. You can even make another top for use indoors and one more screened/vented for outdoor use. It would be interchangeable
Thanks Max. It just became a pain with FruitFlies everywhere
can't hurt to try. This is just a remperoray cage till they start eating something larger.
I have a hydroponics store near me . It's meant for plant propagateing. It's a 2" tray and a 10" tall plastic dome. Just cut sections out...
I have a Panther clutch hatching from breeding that was done last year with my RedBar Ambliobe Chance. Got tired of FruitFlies escaping everywhere. So I had an idea.
I have been doing wheatgrass and had got some mini "greenhouse" type trays with plastic domes. Just looking at it got my mind...
