Yeah, I just dont want it to happen again.
Thats what I heard Cush. Some babies just dont make it. But im just a little upset. I shouldve seperated them into smaller groups like I did today. The first one I found dead was sad. But to witness a babies death like that right in my your hands...
So I found another little guy dead today:(
dont know what happened. So I seperated them. 4 in one group, 4 in the either. Hopefully that ensures some better eating. Just got some a couple FF'S that hatched out today and a good batch of pinheads for the week.
I have to agree with Cush. ive tried to feed my babies by putting pin heads in a bowl and nothing. when i just dump em in their tank they act like lions attacking wildebeest. :O
Ruwenzori side striped, Rudis, Sternfeldi, whatever you call it. Thats my choice. They were the first chameleon I bought last year at a reptile show:) plus, their size, ability to be live-bearers:) and color are all intriguing:)Theres so much more, but you'd have to own one to know it:)
Well ive kept Sternfeldi's for about a year now with coiled bulbs and have not ran into any problems. But then again, thats no amount of time really learn from. But according to many respected keepers here, coiled bulbs arent to good for eyesight which leads to blindness.
I wonder though, why...
Hahahahahaha!
Ive seen them ranging from $2,000-$5000 dollars. Thats a big bite to someones pocket XD.
A very nice species but I doubt ill ever be financially developed to just spend a couple thousand on one chameleon. Ill eventually want another one to breed and thats even more. Then getting...
Oh okay. Its only like 10 bucks to ship a fruit fly culture to me:D
But I have no money as yet. Im selling a baby to a very careful owner about next week so ill definitly have money for that culture on Ebay next week:)
til then ill have to stick with pinheads :p
I agree with Brye. Their head shape is so unique, and those stripes that trace their bodies are so intriguing. I want one but that would be like my moms whole tax return :o
Lol, slippery roaches :O thanks to all, who replied. Yeah I gotta start gettin a culture goin. But is it possible I can put a piece of banana in a cup with a couple flies in a deli cup and they'll start reproducin?? or do I need an actual mix?
People. I bought a vial from Timberline co. and it was a waist of 6 bucks lol. Are flightless fruit flies available in the wild.? Or are were they bred to have this characteristic. I live here in Orlando FL. How can I catch these valuable guys for my babies. Pin heads are breaking my bank. haha...
