@lisagr07: I just can't bear to have another veiled. I knew it's ridiculous.. But, I am very attached to Paul. It's not like there is anything wrong with veiled. I would totally recommend people getting veiled as beginner's species.

Assuming that you lived in US and the daylight savings time stuff going on, I would say that it's normal to sleep half an hour earlier.
Sometimes I notice my chameleon actually sleep whenever it's dark outside even though it is bright indoor. Thus, I always adjust his lighting schedule following...
going to be 6 this August, Jannb.. I think after him, I will not get anymore veiled. I'll start tube feeding tomorrow. I really hope he can make it :_(

The idea of putting chameleons outside is definitely probable. Many people here have done it.
The benefit of having your chameleon soaking the sunlight is excellent.
They will be generally healthier and happier.
However, just make sure that you take all possible problems into the equation.

Absolutely. Raccoon has pretty tough teeth. If i am not mistaken, in the past, there is one member here whose chameleon's tail got severely injured from being attacked by raccoon during night time. The cage is pretty much broken into.
Oh... it's a torture alright.. that is why I visit him regularly now. The mommy have a hard time to part with him. I can understand why.

Ouch.. 150 watt is waaayy too hot even for a day lamp. Especially if you decide to keep that plexi glass cage, you can accidentally bake her alive.
Plexi glass trapped heat very well. I think your normal night temp is completely fine. She will appreciate the temp drop.
