Ok I figured it out. I ran the wire through the hinge side of the door. There is a nice gap and the wires do not get pinched. Thanks to all for the help;)
Not the size of the meter, the size of the probe on the end of the wire. I have thought about cutting the wire and putting back together with a plug, but it seems risky
I have the exo-terra digital Hygrometer/thermometer. This one I am trying to use it on my cage that I built from scratch. I would like the readout out side the cage but the sensor is huge so I would need a big hole to feed the wire through. Any one have any ideas about how to mount this...
I'll be honest, I checked EVERYWHERE for the 1/4 by 1/4 PVC coated and found that I could not even special order it! The 1/2 inch PVC coated is all over, but 1/4 is not. That was my experience anyway. I went with galvanized. Greggory love climbing on the screen :)
Since no one is answering here I will add my 2 cents. I am by no means an expert, But I think Cedar would be detrimental to your Cham. Here is an article about the effects of Cedar on Reptiles. Now I know this is talking about its use as a substrate, but if you are going to make a cage out of...
I just noticed yesterday that when my Male Jackson's is basking he sets his whole body on the branch and lays his chin down. He is still awake and looking around and he eats like a horse, but I see the pictures of others basking and the chams seem to be standing up. Is my guy just lazy? His...

Well after many months of research and construction, I finally got the mistking up and running in my enclosure. It is awesome. It is quiet, the nozzles don't drip and the timer is amazing. In the spirit of full disclosure I had a small issue with the timer, but Marty came to my rescue and...
here is the humidifier I use. It has a directional mist nozzle that can be modified to accept a hose. I used 3/4 inch flexible hose attached to some 1/2 inch schedule 40 PVC with holes drilled to disperse the mist in the cage. It not only looks cool, but it works very well...
I don't know about the super fogger, but I have an ultrasonic humidifier that I have rigged with a pipe to fog my Jacksons cage. I have to run it for hours to get the humidity right. 1 hour in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. I also have a mist king that runs three times a day for...
I fed the cham and he ate 10 medium crickets yesterday and ate another ten this morning. He is a PIG!!! I tried to feed the snake but he was uninterested. the kids think the cham is the coolest thing ever!
Thanks for all of the advice. I set up a cool mist humidifier that keeps the humidity at about 65%. I just want to make sure there is enough water for him to drink. Along those same lines, I know that I am supposed to give him a 12 hour photo period. I have my UV light, grow light and basking...
