For outside they work good because sunlight is stronger than our UV bulbs anyways. However if you get a tall cage you will need to anchor it with something outside. I had a little tree and an umbrella plant in my cage outside, with a total weight of about 50lbs of dirt and it blew over and...
Do you house them together? She is pretty young. Were they from the same clutch? Do you have a picture of her on your hand so we can see the size she is?

I prefer the screen cages to the reptariums. Reptariums are mesh, they rip, very dark inside, and the tall one blows over outside. Plus the access isn't the best as its just a zipper instead of a full fledged door. Homemade cages are teh way to go. You can make them for less that $80 which is...
Sir spiral tail, if you look in the top right you can translate it into english through google. It might help with reading it. Lol. the pictures of chams in the wild are amazing and so much better looking than those in captivity. The ambilobes on your site are unmatched by just about anything...
Well said lance. Yes the daytime highs ideally would be 69 or higher for me to keep them outside still. Because if it is 69 or 70 out they can still soak up heat and get their bodies a few degrees above that.

The ank's are hard to breed because people have noticed overall the eggs seem to incubate longer and the babies seem to hatch out smaller than most other species. I personally have not worked with them but know people who have and had incubations between 10-14 months on average and the babies...
Go to greatlakeshornworms.com they have a chart by weight of the more popular feeders. I think one super giant hornworm weighs as much as 30 adult crickets.

As long as they are healthy I keep them out when it is mid fifties and above at night. I had one male get a URI last fall when I left them outside and it was 50 degrees out at night. You can cover them with a tarp or blanket so wind does not get at them and put a low wattage ceramic heater on...
Very well stated FluxLizard. Both of my little ones eat together, drink together, occasionally share a basking spot, and they always sleep either face to face on one branch or next to each other on closely adjacent branches. I know many people keep melleri individually but mine are getting along...
I bought a pair of these CB meller's, however it is not for the reason to breed them with each other but to breed them to wild caughts or other CH/CB melleri on day. At least having 2 CB ones provides me with some insurance that they are already acclimated and with be alot more comfortable...
I have a female who just recently reached 55grams and she is approximately 2 years old. I received her when she was already a year an a half old, I know this because I knew the person who produced the clutch she came from and she weighed 40 grams at a year and a half. She is so hard to get to...
I only have real plants. All my cages 6ft-8ft have a tree from home depot in them that I get for less than $7 during the fall every year. Their 75% sales make me so happy. Also they have umbrella plants on super sale around that time as well. It's amazing. Real plants are so beneficial. Even my...
I have a colony of discoid and they are super easy to keep. I started with 20 adults, 4 males and 16 females. That was about 6 months ago. I am crawling in them now. I feed them vegetable/fruit puree for the wet gutload with all kinds of veggies ground in and cricket crack for their dry gutload...
In order to get a parson's legally it would have to be CB. Unless someone has a wild caught female from before 1996 who has been carrying a clutch for the past 15 or so years you aren't getting a parson's CH legally to my limited knowledge. I have no problem with the price of panthers, I have...
If you cham is an adult veiled he should have no problem ripping a silkie off a branch with his tongue. Panthers 6 months and older do it without a problem. Is his grip very strong and does his tongue shoot very fast? I use reptisun 10.0's on my cages that are bigger than 4ft tall, for example...
He looks very skinny and dehydrated but thats nothing you cant fix with misting, drippers ,showers, and a little extra food. As for MBD his casque looks straight and his legs, although very skinny, do not look bent. He does look small for 2.5 years old, very small. Good luck getting him better. I...
