    Should I be Concerned??

Maybe pics would help? He's eating and drinking, and from the sound of your description he sounds fairly healthy. Maybe it's the new plant? Pics of him and the enclosure might give more insight, I don't know. I'd definitely be concerned though. Chameleons will typically go to the...

    Veiled Cham need to rehydrate

Poor guy. To Rehydrate him, try giving him a shower. Take his plant and place it in the shower, point the showerhead at the wall of the shower (you don't want the water spraying directly at the plant) and turn the heat up until it's hot but not overly so. The water should cool down when it...

Undigested Fecile & Possible Eye Infection

I'll be interested to hear how his nails are doing. My chameleon similarly has small claws, and they appear "worn". I've just recently given him a much larger enclosure to play in, and I'm hoping he'll spend less time pawing at the screen, and the claws will eventually grow back in.

    Bleeding knees, rotting skin!

Geez... this poor guy doesn't just have ONE burn, he's got MANY burns. From the looks of it many of them are in different stages of healing. Some of the areas look like they've burned, healed, and were then burned again. Your friend needs to change his lighting immediately. If he doesn't...

    Only worms need apply

So my male 11 month old Panther Rygel is off crickets... again. I've tried everything I can think of with him. He'll pound away at Superworms and large-sized mealworms. He won't touch crickets. Yesterday I tossed 5 or 6 crickets in his feeding container. He just sort of stared at me, as...

    Too much, Too late

Kimmun, seriously I wouldn't blame yourself for this. The Chameleon you've pictured in this thread had some very SERIOUS health issues. Serious enough that NO responsible pet store should have sold him to you. Serious enough that the pet store's source of chameleons (this "breeder") is...

    Can U Help Please?

You put in some of this info, but try and fill out the remainder: My first questions would be how long has he had the eye problem, and for how long has he stopped eating. Is he drinking? Ribs showing on a chameleon isn't really that unusual, pictures would help. A better demonstration of...

    injured chameleon

The skin discoloration on the elbow I could possibly dismiss as an old injury that is still healing. The white discoloration on his back and head could be the beginning of a shed. On the pictures, it doesn't look like anything suspicious to me. It could possibly be remnants of a burn, but...

    Weird Poop

Looks normal to me. My cham's fecals usually vary slightly from dark to light brown. Having multiple "lumps" like that encased in slime is usually what I get. Maybe supplementation, or have you been feeding your feeders something different? Regardless, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Live together in harmony??

I know someone who had a free-range setup with a pair of ficus trees. He doesn't have it anymore, so I'm a bit foggy on the details. He had 3 Jacksons. I believe it was two females and a male? Or two males and a female. They always did great. They would stay a couple feet apart from each...

ran in to some awsome luck

Lucky find! I'd love to get a setup like that.

    Panther claws

Cool, it's good to know there's nothing wrong with him. He's due for a cage upgrade very soon, with some more climbing room, which I'm sure will make him happy.

    The deadliest feeder insect

Wow, that's funny, I never realized that they could be so aggressive. I've run across them a few times, and I've never even been "threatened" by one. A couple years ago one of them was crawling around on the hood of my car, and I just picked him up and put him on the ground without any...

    Panther claws

He definitely HAS claws. They're there... just tiny. I just browsed through a couple of his baby pictures, and they were definitely more pronounced then. He's basically got little points on the end of his fingers. My Jacksons lost a claw once, and there was obviously a little hole where...

    The deadliest feeder insect

How can you hate Praying Mantises? They're arguably one of the coolest insects out there. Plus they're totally harmless to humans. They won't attack you unless you really piss them off.

    Water Question

Make sure you mist him 2-3 times a day. The misting sessions should last 3-5 minutes. Chameleons react slightly better to mistings when using warm water, but it's not totally necessary. Don't spray your chameleon directly. Make sure you provide a drip which will drip down onto leaves, and...

    help please

I'd definitely recommend getting some flightless fruit flies... But I think getting your little guy to open his eyes is really your first challenge. I hope this chameleon was a gift from a breeder or something. No one should have sold you a chameleon this young. They are very very...

Hi Guys, New to Chameleons , have have a quick question.

Hi there, welcome to the forums! That black mark looks like a burn to me. I see that some of the spikes on her spine look a little black too in your picture, which would follow. Have you checked the temperature at her basking spot? You said your temperature goes up to 100s, which is...

    New and need HELP

My Tips: 1) Keep researching. You should read through several care sheets like the one that was posted above, http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/ and make sure you know what you are getting into. 2) I would NOT suggest getting two chameleons right away. Chameleons are...

trying to escape and eating less

I'd reiterate filling out the information form if you really want help. I'd be more concerned with your chameleon spending a lot of time on the bottom of the cage. Unless it's a female, being on the bottom of the cage is not usually a healthy sign.
