I think schefflera and Ficus are the best, at least my chams think so. But they're hard if not impossible to find in the winter time. I also use Pothos and Crottons. The pothos you can find easily all year around, but theyre better for hanging than bottom plants
Yes, these are pests for me. I cleaned out my humidifiers this weekend and they were clogged with dead fungus gnats. Re potting the plants is only a very temporary fix, at least for me it has been. I'm trying to put rocks on the soil and pour water + dish soap every other day. Hopefully that...
Pothos are great for hanging high in the cage as they grow down mostly. I keep a Schefflera, Ficus Benjamina, Crotton and a pothos in each cage. They use the Crotton as a toilet for some reason....but the other 3 I would recommend.
I use the UVB linear tube and a basking light. Mercury vapors work, but I've heard you have to have them the correct distance from the cage(Whatever that is) or they can be harmful.
If they're just flies, they'll probably eat about anything. Probably go for something with Calcium in it, you might have to experiment a little. Its a good idea for another feeder though.
Its a nasty little silkworm virus, try this link. My first two silkworm batches had it. Now that I know what it is I wash my hands religiously before handling, so far so good

How long do the beetles live about? I was reading that they die eventually after breeding like it was suggesting that removing them wasn't really needed after the eggs hatch. Just wondering if its necessary.
Crickets I let free roam. Silk worms too. Other worms I use a cup for. If you can tie the cup under his basking spot he'll see them pretty easily. Try and use an opaque cup so he cant see thru it. Else hell try and shoot at the cup from the sides
Basking about 85 is good, no more for a...
Luck you....
Lighting - people get told a lot not to use 10.0. 5.0 is accepted I think as the norm. You can use a 60 W halogen bulb for basking. I use 45W but my house is normally 80 degrees and thats more than enough heat for me still. Just make sure he has plenty of foliage and if he...
*2 inches in length = He sounds really young. Pet stores seem to be selling them a lot younger than they should be. It would be nice if people would just stop going to pet stores all together. They really dont know what theyre doing.
* Make sure the crickets are no bigger than the width of...
Theyre both 24x24x48" tall, its standard for permanent cage setups. I put my chams in there at 4 months old and they did just fine. The stand I built but it was easy to build.
Anyone know how to make, or where to buy locally some Bug Stop? Basically to stop Dubias from climbing up the tub they're in? I know I can get it online but due to Xmas it will be a few weeks for shipping to resume.
Feed either crickets/silkworms as their main food, or both. You can also use superworms so Brad says :). Phoenix worms can be fed often. Mealworms/waxworms should be only fed sometimes as they aren't nutritionally sufficient as a main diet.
This is quick shot of my setup, you can see the drainage kind of. I drilled a hole in the middle of the cage. Used a screen filter to cover the hole. The water goes through a funnel, straight in a bucket. I used caulking around the edges to stop leaking from the sides. And the difference...
