He's not showing particularly stressed colors. He seems to have the same patterning that they do just hanging around as opposed to the patterns they exhibit when they are stressed. More of an "I'm going over there now" kind of shade, or an "I see a bug and I'm going for it," but not stress for fear.
We've got masses and masses of 'em up here in Kula on Maui. I'm at 4000 ft. Temps here are in the low 80's on a warm day, in the 70's on a cool one. We get down to the low 60's upper 50's at night. The wild Jacksons seem to be doing quite well. I take 'em in during kona storms and hurricanes...
I've had good luck using rose aphids off people who didn't spray their roses. They are small, pretty juicy and it's easy to just pinch off an infected rosebud.
