Yes, it was URI and Dehydrated. And he may on the track now. One thing I'm not sure, there's no more saliva in it's mouth, but I heard a little pop sound again from his mouth. It didn't rise up his head during sleeping already and most of it's habbits also backing to normal. Should I get him...
Hi Paigesc, I'm in Hong Kong, the vet ask me to rise up the temp & humidity until the cham getting well. and it was dehydrated before. and a humidifier is a must for it at night cause I'm using air conditioning and the humidity will drop down to 4X%. Don't worry, all humidity and temp will back...
I would like to know also where is the best place for the cup? shall I just put it at the bottom of the cage or hanging up somewhere? My Cham never eat the feeders inside the cup, what I need to do is catch the feeder and need to put near it.
You may try to get a humidifier as my cham was dehydrated also before, I got a humidified and it becomes better day by day now. Orange Fecal must be a dehydrated case.
P.S. Your Hubble is very cute!!! He is my idol now!!!:)
After few times of revisiting the vet, and special observation. My Cham dehydrated problem has been solved, I've bought a humidifier and keep switching on for 24hours, so it keep the humidity for around 88-90%, a dripper has added on and a rainner has been set to once per 3hours for 60secs...
Just re-visited the vet this morning, had a fecal tested and found out he has parasite. So need to have the medical treatment in the coming 3days and also still having the antibiotic injection once a week. After he had the de-parasite medicine, he seems much better and being interested in his...
Thanks Kinyonga.
And mine is now sleeping with raised head and opening his month sometimes with a extra saliva with popping sound sometimes also. Hope it will be better soon
It has been a while, my cham had visited the vet at last, they found he is dehydrated and Pneumonia, and he is now under observation. He had 3 injections, 1 antibiotic (fortaz) , 1 vitamins & 1 for hydration. As he didn't eat for few 3 days and a bit thin now, has has been forced eating once...
beside that, I would like to know, does a cham has antibody to kill the germs? I mean like a human, if it is strong enought, it won't get sick easily, am I right?
Thanks so much, I've just read the thread from jannb, and I will follow the instruction. So should I still need to keep lower temp. at night? cause I must switch on the air condition for him at night around 20-22C and keep 29-30C in the day time.
Hi, I just got my Cham for 2 months (he is about 8months old now), but I found something strange in these 2weeks, he ate 2 crickets once a day before, but he just eat 1 cricket every 3days now, and he sometimes open his mouth and I see so much saliva, is he sick? and what should I do?
Thanks a lot
Thanks eisentrauti, I will get one on the coming weekend with good care before put inside the cage.
I found one more strange thing, I found one WHITE FECAL inside the cage, what does it indicate?
Cheers
Bruce
Thanks Eisentrauti, I will start on feeding flies for few says from tomorrow. Also, I'm planning to get a real plant inside the cage to avoid the losing of humidity, do you think Murraya paniculata can be a choice? cause I don't see it in the Safe Plants List for Chameleons. if not, I will have...
Hi, I've bought the flies at last as the silkworm has been sold out. I have another question again, sorry. There're around 100 of flies inside the bottle, should I just put the open bottle inside the cage (the shopper says, these bottle of flies don't fly)? or should I just put some of the flies...
