Are calciworms the same as reptiworms? I have a bug dealer near me that told me about these so called reptiworms that have a lot of calcium, protein and fat in them...not too sure what they are though and if they are safe to feed. She said they are a good alternative to crix.
I use a smallish plastic box covered with screen and empty it daily, then mop up excess water with a towel... the box usually catches most of the water though...
I would not put anything on it. Either just keep it clean or take it to your vet for a cream! Some ingredients in this stuff can be lethal to these guys...

Very helpful information! I just got my cham a week ago and bought 500 crix from a reptile show because they were very cheap. I have also been told to keep foods in a dish to keep down the mess
I use a large deli cup on the bottom of the cage for my crickets. I'm feeding 1/8 inch crickets and there is no catching them without squishing! I also like it because it makes it easy to track exactly how much is eaten.
They are in a large rubbermaid container with egg cartons. I was wondering about adding some fruit flies to the diet? Maybe an occasional mealworm? My list of okay things to feed so far is crix, superworms, waxworms, fruit flies, and occasional mealworms. Anything else??
Okay! Sounds good! Wasn't sure what wattage bulb to go with, will try a 50watt housebulb? I have the lamp hanging above the cage. And I will def get some fresh food for the crix! I got 500 at the reptile show and I would really like to keep them alive. So far so good!
