Is she supposed to be CB? Is the seller a cham breeder?
My first inclination is to say eggs, but even then, the belly doesn't look like a "normal" gravid female to me. Just to be on the safe side, you might want to get her a laying box quickly, until you can determine exactly what the...
Please be aware that an overfed female will cycle eggs earlier, more frequently and result in larger infertile clutches than a female whose diet is more regulated. Cycling eggs is extremely taxing on a female and can certainly shorten her life span. Unfortunately, I learned that the hard way...
Babies (and even adults) will and do jump when they feel threatened, so I'd be cautious about handling for a bit.
I once had an adult Panther leap from my hand to a nearby bed. Shocked the heck out of me because even tho I'd seen babies do it, he's the calmest, coolest one and he was calm and...
I was wondering the same thing re: "most common is ringworm". I too have never heard of a reptile having and transmitting ringworm to humans. I too was under the impression ringworm is a fungus transmitted among mammals, so I'm curious as well.
Perhaps dodolah meant Salmonella?
With all due respect to your vet, I have to concur with others on the temps. It's always best to err on the slightly cooler side, especially given your chams very young age and being in a glass tank. Young ones overheat and dehydrate much quicker than you would imagine.
I understand you will...
Forest Chameleon - AKA Helmeted Iquana/Casque-headed Iguana (Corytophanes cristatus)
Member of iguana family. Arboreal lizard. Grows to 12-16". Egg layer.
Rarely, if ever, seen CB or CBB in the pet trade. Generally don't do well in captivity, WC imports (such as the one in the Reptile City...
In addition to changing the ceramic heat emitter to a regular household bulb, he probably should be eating larger crix. At 3-4 inches he should be able to take 3/8" or small end
1/4" crix. The general rule of thumb is to offer feeders no longer than the width of the cham's head.
Also, a...
Wow! S/he's tiny! I guess I didn't realize s/he was so young! It looks to me, at least, that the colors your cham is displaying in your pics are stress reactors, so that makes it even harder to tell. A pic showing calm, relaxed colors may or may not help, due to the cham's age .. but who knows?
Important...

I wasn't familiar with the "All Living Things" basking bulb, and a 75-watt basking bulb seemed a bit overkill for such a small tank, so I did a little research.
According to Petsmart's website, any wattage over 60 watts is NOT recommended for reptile enclosures...
Okay ... in addition to a suitable enclosure, she also needs time to acclimate if you've only had her one week. Please keep handling to the bare minimum and give her privacy. As previously stated, chams are arboreal. They like to be above eye level. They are not like other "friendlier"...
You already know she needs a larger, screened cage. And the sooner the better.
In the meantime, you might want to tape some opaque material (brown paper bag, plastic garbage bag, etc) to the outside of the glass sides. Chams don't really have a concept of glass, so she can see out and...
Oatmeal and wheat germ are fine as long as the crix are also getting more dark greens and vegies. I agree, lose the dog and cat food.
Personally, I use Cricket Food's premium gutload, along with fresh dark greens and other fresh or FT fruits and vegies.
Someone already said "you are what...
In addition to the above, by about 12 weeks or so, males usually take on a more grey color with slightly more pronounced white lateral stripe. Females may be more of a brownish color, with less defined lateral stripe.
Do you have a pic of your baby?
Interesting question .. and something I've wondered myself.
I've noticed that all my chams shed within a week of one another also, even though they are all different ages (tho all adults) and all acquired at different times from different sources.
Interesting to me is that they didn't start...
