speaking for myself... my chameleons are well established and eating 1/2" crickets when I offer them up unless you are an experienced chameleon owner and they are being picked up.
I never had to feed them at fly stage... When you have as many chameleons as I have they all fed off the same day they become flys. I just have a little gel crystal in the kritter keeper next to them.
I let them pupae in the container. Once they start to pupae I will cut a small hole on the lid and place it in a small critter keeper and they will emerge as the change. just keep the medium in the container from drying out completely.
personally I do not dust my flies. I like them to fly around well. The chameleons love to hunt them down. I usually let the repti worms turn to flies then place the tub in the fridge for a minute or out side if its cold enough (puts them in a sleep mode easier to round them up in a small fish...
